Lady Gaga had a “million reasons” why her lips were sealed about the stage and set design for her Joanne World Tour before the opening night on August 1 at Rogers Arena in British Columbia. And it may very well be the best kept secret in concert design history. Creative director LeRoy Bennett and production manager Robert “Hydro” Mullin teamed up with Tait to create the set that took over the entire arena, complete with a kinetic main stage, three flying bridge platforms (that double as projection displays, no less), two satellite stages, and an LED integrated b-stage.

The stunning aesthetics of Lady Gaga’s Joanne World Tour gave many attendees goosebumps as the set and stage, built by TAIT, took over the entire arena. The full layout consisted of a very dynamic and kinetic main stage, three flying bridge platforms which double as projection displays, two satellite stages and an LED integrated b-stage.

The jaw-dropping 85 ft. wide main stage is fashioned with three automated lifts used for scenic props and staging equipment, in addition to, five performer wave lifts surrounded with LED video panels. The lifts transform the stage into several intricate looks throughout the show.

TAIT designed and manufactured three inflatable lighting pods which hang 60 ft. above the audience and house billboard-like, video projection displays. When not being used in billboard display mode, each video projection display descends 50 ft. below its lighting pod and converts into a 50 ft. long bridge platform giving Lady Gaga and her dancers a catwalk to travel on from the main stage to the satellite stages and to the multi-dimensional, LED lit b-stage at the other end of the arena.

Honestly I don't see how people can say it's her worst stage. Look at how expansive it is! Yes, the BTWB castle looked phenomenal but it made for a very static setting and it all kind of happened there, and there were so few spaces that allowed you to be close to Gaga. Here she's always gonna be close to you at some point! I love it.

This is also what I thought of when I saw the stage.

I wonder where would Kanye and Gaga's careers go had this tour happened.

the stage is phenomenal and no one did anything like that before. The whole setting is just jaw-dropping, and I can't understand how someone can be not so fond of this stage, or calling it worse than her previous attempts. It's ridiculous in my opinion

I know it's up to personal taste, but I really can't get someone not being amazed by this. I really can't. It's just impossible with something like this.

Sugar, spice, and everything nice.
