I don't think she'll jump ship either...but not for that reason I think she'll stay with Interscope because they seem to have a really good relationship. They let her do what she wants, and she seems to have no quarrels with them or vise versa. They seem to have a good thing going so she probably wouldn't change. (Aka yes) He compared her to Jesus somehow? I don't know what that quote even means.. Somehow he went from talking about Jakarta to saying Jesus got crucified. I don't get the comparison here. hes saying that gaga, like jesus, refused to conform and change her beliefs - jesus was crucified for his beliefs and his claims and gaga was also "crucified" hes also alluding to the fact that her message is that of love and yet the protesters demonize her just like what happened to Jesus I don't think she'll ever do that. It's pretty interesting in the 70's/early 80's how he alternated back & forth between commercial #1 records to much more experimental work. I have faith she won't sell out any time soon. I'd kinda like her to use more organic sounds next effort, but less more light sounding. The electropop wave has been so played out for a while now. Not too excited for this Zedd character. I do salute Troy for saying that, outside fandom, pop stars depend heavily on radio/TV response. He gets it right sometimes. He's not saying anything bad. He's just saying (I think) that her career is just starting. YES, thank you. Also, the context between the "Jesus" and "toddler" comments are opposites and perfectly understandable. JI is a brilliant music industry insider and Interscope is one of the best labels around. Artists always sign for a specific number of albums when they ink their deals. Once the remaining three albums are done she will most likely resign with Interscope for another multi-album deal. The difference will be that she'll have a lot more negotiating power this time around. But I don't see her leaving Interscope. She seems to have great loyalty towards Jimmy and the team. When he compared her to Jesus, I think he was just saying, "here was a fundamentally good and important figure that was protested and crucified" which he sees as a parallel to Gaga's situation (though, that seems a bit of an overstatment, lol). And, yeah, I think the 200 lb baby was just his way of saying, "yes, she's colossal, her star is huge, but she's just starting out, and has a lot of growing to do." Well, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY TRUE!
