The consequences ? Do you realize our AIs are still very basics ? Do you realize tons of scientists, researchers and philosophes are working on the ethic of the AIs ?

There is nothing shady about AIs, just read thesis and papers about it and maybe the fear will disappear. And indeed they didn't shut them down, they rebooted them with the option "speak english"

This! AI doesnt mean they have free-will and are scientient

they still are limited to do what we program them to do

AI free-will would require a level of complexity to a degree we will never achieve within our life-times

Just Think! Even animals have some free-will but it is very limited. They are still heavily influenced by instinct and unlike humans, most animal species of the same race are prone to simmilar behaviours (with minnor variances especially if domesticated)

Animals that have only some degree of free-will are WAY more complex and intelligent than any AI we can build anytime soon

If animals which are much more complex than AIs cant plot to take over world (they dont even understand the concept)... our AIs certainly cant!

Have you considered what the implications would be if a powerful disembodied artificial intelligence got into the wrong hands? Our whole life’s are basically online these days, my wariness of AI isn’t because I think it will become sentient and take over the world but who will be in charge of the AI and their intentions, certainly Facebook should not be in charge of such technology considering their track record.

I DON'T WANT YOUR MONEY, I JUST WANT YOUR SOUL HONEY.

Personally, I think Facebook was good at it's starting stages, but I feel nowadays they just cater to a bigger market and it's not worth being so active on it anymore. Aside from the rest of the world, from the first wave of young peeps who migrated onto FB via myspace/ etc, the network is filled with others that use it for slow purposes which is fine, but as a young person, it doesn't hold that much appeal anymore.

You post photos, have statuses and that's basically it. I think the older you get, you sort of realize that the site doesn't really cultivate that much of friendships or connections than what you'd think. Don't get me wrong, I have a healthy amount of friends, but the networking on the site, it's doesn't really do much with quality. There are better alternatives to making real, strong networking connections, but most of the time people just complain on the feed, or advocate their own causes (which is cool), but it's all a loud conversation with no one really listening to each other. It's so synthetic.

I want to say messenger is a great messaging app, but I think it's been too focused on being more than what it is, and the app suffers being slow for it at times. What's the point of having on there, if it moves like a wagon on a trail.

It can get dangerous if you don't know how to use the site properly, but it seems to be the case that people just don't care and overshare. Let's not even start with people bashing each other

Back on topic tho, I thought the two comps were kinda cute to do that, but I literally just lmfao'd at reading what happened. It's fantastic but at the same time pretty ****ed up for them to do hahahahahahahaha

Yes, I also do love partying in moving houses as seen in that one Bacardi tv ad.
