This is set on medieval age where male heir will be the first choice than the female one even the bastards. See how Jon Snow is the current The King Of The North rather than Sansa?? ^^^ i've been saying this to all of my friends however i am team Dany 1 minute ago, VOLANTIS said: This is what I believe as well. But the Lannister sigl is mounted in the throne room and the Kings Landing army bears the Lannister banner. So I'm guessing the Lannisters control the throne? But as far as the people of westeros' concern, they wouldn't believe a rumor that Joffrey's a bastard. It's still the Baratheon's reign. i didn't even clock that i'll have to pay attention next time cersei is on screen i wish someone would leak the receipts to Westeros https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ

But as @VOLANTIS said, everyone has an equal claim to the throne atm.

It's just a custom that's not too forced. See Cersei was never referred to as Cersei Baratheon. Sansa was never Sansa Lannister. She went by Lady Stark. But Olenna and Catelyn took their husband's last names. I'll lift you 3 inches off the ground and drag you to a meter and a half

Targaryens are no longer popular. In theory, she has the greatest claim to the Iron Throne right now, but who knows? Jon could be a legitimate heir. At what point does the claim just kind of dissolve? They've had so many different kings (& and queen, slay Cersei) after Robert Baratheon's rebellion. Would the people even want a new Targaryen leader? Don't visit my profile

His main focus is to defeat the enemies in the North, the White Walkers. Daenerys won't burn him, because he isn't a threat to her. (As of now unless a twist happens ) @VOLANTIS @ryanripley @gagagoogoose i'm really glad he isn't, i want him and dany to be allies so bad the tension during the most recent episode had me shook https://goo.gl/xMgMvJ

Since she's the first Queen, this is kind of uncharted territory for Westoros, but she assumed under House Lannister, therefore Lannister sits on the Iron Throne. Well Cersei would never ever take Baratheon because she immensely despises him. And Tyrion is a nice person so he wouldn't impose the name that killed his wife's father on her.
