They are just now testing missiles that could even have a chance of hitting...Alaska I think. If there is an actual attack it likely won't be on the US, it will probably be on an ally, and even if a missile was launched at the US, the US counter-strike would be so swift and so severe, as to possibly not only stop that missile from ever reaching dry land, but also wipe out much of North Korea's central government (assuming there is a plan in place between Russia/China/US on the chance of this being a possible threat). There are people already thinking about this, China is our biggest trade partner, and an economy that they hinge their own on, North Korea is the gateway to their country, they will either allow an attack on North Korea and negotiate the land for themselves, OR they will garner a a surrender or cease fire between the US and NK, so as not to have the US knocking on their door if it were to come to war.
