If she was present on social medias / promoted the album / showed that she cared about her FANS (not the GP, I repeat, her fans) by... you know... releasing a music video or something, it would have been great.

But seeing how she pays dust to fan favorites, refuses to release music videos and completely ignores her fans, Joanne seems like some punishment for the fanbase not liking ARTPOP, lol.

Tbh Gaga has always used crystals in her work. This isn't outdated, it's just something Gaga has been doing since the beginning of her career. for example-

Crystal dress-

Crystal Glasses-

Crystal eyebrows-

Crystal Make-up-

Crystal Shoes-

 

Also this was only a possible make-up look for the tour, she probably wont actually wear that makeup because it would be too hard to sing with 40 crystals on her lips.

She's not outdated at all, if anything she's ahead of the curve...look at artists like Kesha and Miley, they're trying to do a natural/country/glam rock eras just like Joanne.  I bet we'll be seeing more artists go country/folk/indie now that Joanne is another iconic chapter in pop music.

I think with ARTPOP they really tried to be innovative, like the flying dress and the app to an extent where she probably felt all the bling and her persona became more important than the music. She clearly got lost during that era. Now under new management with Cheek to Cheek and Joanne she did set a step back yes, but its something she did willingly. For example the crowd integration at the Superbowl with those lights was still wow and new. I think for her next album she'll put more effort into the visuals again because she refound her love of being a popstar.

She is everything but basic. If she would just stick to "old", mysterious, dark Gaga that would make her basic because she wouldn't evolve. That's just my opinion.

No,Gaga is not basic.Gaga will never be basic.Sure,she has toned it down a little since the ArtRave ended.Sure,Joanne was different from her previous albums.This was probably the most normal era she ever pulled of.But the Super Bowl was all Gaga.The same goes for Coachella,Coachella Interludes,The Cure,The Cure photoshoot etc.Im sure Gaga will release another pop-EDM-Gaga album sooner or later.But please,give Gaga a break.Lets just show her all love and positivity as we can,as humans,and as Little Monters❤️
