I'm happy cooking dinner in the kitchen for my husband''

People, her fans, were so pissed thinking she wasn't a feminist. Just a shame, that most people (including some of those who calls themselves feminists) thinks feminism is about man-hating and totally excluding men from their life, because they think they think men makes them look weak.

Some people just enjoy more nurturing and "feminine" roles in a relationship, especially girls who are more inclined to be feminine. That doesn't mean those roles are oppressive. They're only oppressive as you make them out to be

That's a lovely definition you have there, and I think I like it better than how its usually discussed. While womanism was created post 2nd wave feminism for the reasons you stated, it didn't immediately reduce all feminism to being trapped by what we know as "white feminism" or things of that nature. Most feminists (that know of it) believe in womanism, but identify as feminist, as white feminism is not inherent in the term "feminism" and is actually being combated today by things like Intersectionality The only people I know that identify as womanist are specifically black women and women of color and in the circles I've been in, its been a different atmosphere that does focus on or highlight the issues black women and women of color face; Or, its been a safe space from white feminism or feminism that is not expressly intersectional.

I don't have a problem with your definition, I'm just saying that its not the only one, but also I don't think Gaga would have been more "woke" for identifying as a womanist, if anything, some people would have called her out for potentially invading spaces she doesn't really have a right to claim, as misguided as that may seem.

My problem with feminism is radical delusional feminists will say exactly what you said or try to downplay what it actually is in attempt to suppress you from criticizing them. They're cancerous tbh. In 2017 the word feminism has become synonymous with these people, so I would much rather say I believe in gender equality rather than claim the word feminist

Absolutely most womanist circles focus on black issues - because mainstream feminism already focuses enough on white issues. I'm not trying to say that womanism is opposed to feminism, but I would argue feminism still currently does focus mainly on white issues and that womanism is a more inclusive space.

I also don't think many would attack her for the label. Most self-proclaimed womanists I know don't have a problem with white or non-black WoC adopting the title unless they’re not willing to check their anti-Blackness before adopting the label for themselves.

I mean I understand this, but this isn't the majority of feminists. They've kinda created the stigma around feminism and aren't helping themselves  

i remember my friend saying she was a feminist and I was like "oh sh*t " but she isn't the extreme example, but she's said people always assume she is when she tells people

Intersectionality is completely valid on paper, but lets be real. People only complain about it in 2017 because of the oppression olympics, they want to be oppressed more. On top of that they have a distaste for white people and don't believe them when they claim to have any sort of struggle

It is a significant portion of those who claim and reinforce the word. Most people who sensibly believe in gender equality who fit within the google dictionary definition do not claim to be apart of the feminist movement. I refuse to claim the word because activist feminists have integrated the vagueness of that definition into their political tactics 

I think the overwhelming majority of users on GGD can be considered feminist using the definition, but the word has taken on a whole different political meaning in 2017, and I'd prefer to separate myself from it

I took it as some kind of misguided argument against the term "feminist" kind of like "egalitarian" is often used on the interwebs... something like like "Feminism is all about man hating, while womanism is the real movement for equality"   That was mostly because I'm pretty sure few people on this cult site know what womanism is, but I stand corrected and clearly assumed too much.

Yeah, no its cool. I mean womanism isn't really against feminism, it's more of a branch of feminism.
