That's why she's embarking on a sold out tour in 3 days, won a Golden Globe in 2016 and headline the Super Bowl and Coachella just months ago. Michael Jackson and Madonna thank you. AND MANY MORE. Some artists may later have a resurgence later on, as is the case with Madonna, but I wouldn't put Michael Jackson in that class. Michael Jackson was a staple in daily pop culture for so many years after his music because of the controversy regarding his skin change, molestation allegations, and his crazy public antics. People are also saturated with public figures these days, and it's a common fact that oversaturation can cause people's careers to seem as if they are tumbling. Gaga, despite not reaching the global popularity of her first two or three records, still sells on par with her contemporaries these days, if not more with certain ventures. Look at it this way, Miley Cyrus or Katy Perry can release a record which sells, let's just say, 250,000 units opening week, and they are praised for their numbers by the media. However, Gaga releases something with those exact same numbers, and she is classified as a flop simply because she didn't sell a million copies. They are comparing her to numbers from the beginning of her career, which is unfair considering she started out in a blaze of glory, unlike many of her contemporaries. She also appeals to a different audience. I wouldn't call the vast majority of Gaga fans the same as Taylor Swift fans. If she wanted to, she could sell a **** ton of copies first week, by putting out much more radio friendly, standard pop music (much like the ppl on 4chan pointed out). But she doesn't, so that's simply something people need to accept.

Buddy 5,686
4chan is a shitpost cesspool, who currs Gaga has always been a legend in the making. Her legacy will be cemented through talent and respect, while artists like Migos and The Chainsmokers will be forgotten
