Anyone Else Want A Ballad Album?

I'd kill for a ballad album tbh. But, I like Million Reasons, so I wouldn't mind a sound like that.

I like Million Reasons but for this sort of project I'd want her to lose the country influence and make it seem more mainstream

I mean, I don't know, Million Reasons, to me at least, loses it's "country vibes" the more times you listen to it. The only think really "country" about it is the accent that she has, but other than that, it's like a pop ballad.

But you're implying that those genres are somehow any less mature than the sounds of Joanne? That's just simply untrue. And what you're referring to is the subject matter of the material; that's what she meant when saying she couldn't go back and make that style of music from the previous eras. We'll see with her future projects, but I sincerely doubt that she'll never dabble in electronic/dance/rock (rock being one of the few genres she's never truly done on a studio record) music again in the future.

I have a certain style of ballad in mind for this specific hypothetical project and in my mind it sounds nothing like MR

I'd rather a really soft, soothing and all round beautiful piano ballad like this

I understand what you meant but my point was that she already released an acoustic album and since most of the fans prefer upbeat songs I think would be too early for another one. Also, all her ballads tend to be country-inspired (You and I, Speechless).

Maybe she will. I just can't see another pop album on the horizon anymore personally after Joanne

Sounds sort of "Florence Welch-y"

It's too soft in my opinion, I think a couple of songs like that would be okay, but I personally need something that hits hard, or at the very least has a sort of dynamic melody.

Yeah it's probably too early for that right now. I think LG6 will follow the sound of Joanne and knowing Gaga it won't be what fans generally want at all (I'm here for whatever tbh), but that's just my opinion
