She talks in interviews a lot about the inspiration she has when she record an album. Ex. she said because of the fact that mixing songs (the technical stage) lasts for months she starts to write songs for the next album, reasons why she released almost in every years since Born To Die. She was talking about the mixed reviews & the media backlash which gave her the creative freedom to release Ultraviolence, a highly niche and risky record.
