I've been listening to a lot of her ballads lately and does anyone else agree that she has a lot of passion/strength in her voice? Like, I admit she doesn't the most amazing voice in terms of what people consider "good" vocals. But I think she gives a lot of emotion in her ballads and her voice really showcases that, I think. Especially on Live to Tell, Oh Father, and Love Don't Live Here Anymore.

I think I heard people say they don't like the LAV ballads? How come? I think Love Don't Live Here Anymore is amazing. Her deliverance in that song is incredible.

I feel like her strength lies in her conviction, so in that sense yes.

I love Shoo bee doo haha

I couldn't care less about some users trying to start a ****storm in here by bringing up their very uninteresting and non contributive nonsense. Only someone who has actually seen a Madonna show will be able to first of all, judge the audience, and secondly, judge her live qualities which reach light years farther than any other pop star's abilities nowadays.

I love Gaga and Madonna equally but before some Little Monsters come in here again - Madonna left me mind****ed. Three times. Gaga left me entertained. You decide which concert experience is more intense. I am just going to say that it is highly notable who has the three decade spanning performance experience needed to entertain an audience of 40,000 people.

This is not about comparing Madonna and Gaga. They are two different artists, from two different decades, mainly entertaining two different demographics.

To those who claim Madonna's audiences to be bored... to those I can only say that they should probably go away from their computer, stop watching YouTube videos and concert DVDs. If you have ever been to a concert - and we are talking about a really big stage production - you will know that European audiences are extremely reserved and guarded. US audiences and Latin American audiences are like day and night when compared to each other.

Wait until Gaga plays in Northern Europe. I am dying to see how much the audience will "freak out" there.

Before you start trying to find a link between an audience's reserved behavior and Madonna, you should consider the nation's mentality in first place. All in all, this proves your immaturity, ignorance and inability to judge things appropriately.

I can confirm that not everyone in the Golden Triangle is a fan in general. Some people were casual concert goes that just won tickets to it and didn't know what they won until they had entered the special area. Kind of sad, actually.

The thread title will remain one word. One name that changed the world. Madonna. No changes will be necessary.

I'm glad you understood. :)

I think he meant that the other poster thought this was just a thread discussing Madonna. But this thread is a Madonna appreciation thread, hence a change in title would help settle this flamebait issue.

Sorry ur delusional, I've read an review of her show yesterday in Amsterdam, well they said that the show as itself was like a very long videoclip (spectacular films/stills) however her singing live is nothing compared to Gaga, and that the songs of MDNA don't do it very well live. And they also found it very stupid of her to favor a small portion of fans which resulted in a loud and long boo-ing!

You may elaborate your point.

I just wanted to hear from you what it means to imply.

Ah, okay! :dies: Well, people always seem to refer to Madonna fans as a group with a very specific view on things. To me it is just hilarious to see when someone points out on GGD that "those Madonna fans" do this and that. It's basically a very ironic and sarcastic user title. :)

I don't know if you have seen either Madonna or Gaga live. Front row and not from a seat 100 meters away. But I prefer to make up my mind personally instead of reading reviews of so called "music journalists."

I am not trying to defend Madonna with anything but most of these reports are written before the event has actually taken place. You may reconsider your definition of "delusional" when you're the one basing your points on something that was reported in the press. Not to mention your "Well, the media says" comment from not long ago.

I prefer first-hand information.

oh for god's sake she was no doubt joking when she said that "real fans" were in the golden triangle.

The booing would be equally tongue-in-cheek. it's not like anyone would have taken it seriously lol.

I've seen Madonna twice and Gaga once!

They both just left me entertained, neither really left me mind****ed per say lol

But, its obvious Madonna has more experience in the field and thats apparent in the execution of her show. I don't really hold that against Gaga though, shes a newbie lol Well im not trying to imply that you do. Ugh, nevermind :fail: I'm confusing myself.
