There is no music nor are we inside his head. We have no idea if there's a melody or not as we just have the words. :toofunny:

Take a moment to think of just flexibility, love, and trust~

because? i just said songs need a melody, otherwise its a poem. its not an insult. those are good lyrics. its just not a song.

It is half rhyme... I know what a 'rhyme' and 'not a rhyme' is I went to university and did a poetry course I know what a poem and a lyric is...

this is a lyric and you can remain in your opinion and whilst I respect yours I think you are wrong. ...

and no not everyone says it doesnt rhyme...

yes they are lyrics, but without a melody, they are left looking like a poem. it's not a song.

you wrote lyrics, not a song.

once you write a melody to go with the lyrics you will have a song, ok?

Well that escalated quickly.

Bernie Taupin used to write lyrics for Elton John with no melody in mind at all, and Elton would put a melody to it and create an instrumental on his piano. That should settle the arguement. Bernie Taupin is/was a songwriter, despite having no melody. Boom.

I'm struggling to find a reason to write at the moment, it's annoying because I have like.. 5000 half finished lyrics haha

Way to call my bluff.

I rarely finish a full set of lyrics I'm happy with, but I have about 3 books full of them (as I prefer to write them rather than type) so.. about 200 or so that I'd ever want to look at...

the cool thing is that you might use one of them later if you're stuck. I, too have a lyric-vault

What software would you guys recommend to for COMPLETE AMATEUR producers?

if you're on a pc use FL studios, if you're on a mac start with garageband and progress onto logic (that's what I did)
