So proud of my country! The remix isn't banned tho, they don't dare to mess with Beliebers:giveup::giveup:

But the reason is just embarrassing. Most songs on the radio have some sexual content in their lyrics, and they're in English (which we understand if anyone's wondering:ladyhaha:). Nobody even understands/speaks Spanish here:toofunny::toofunny: What a MESS!

Seriously tho, the song should just DIE. The lead on iTunes is still crazy and it's coming for Mariah's wig. It's a bop and I love it too, but completely overplayed and over-streamed.

It's what she deserves. :trollga:

Finally some good news :applause:.

Mess at you all. It was banned based on conservative islamists. Born this way is also banned there. You sure you all want to move there or thinking Malaysia is doing right? Because for me it's rather worrying.

Lol this is called humor boo. We all know this is a ridiculous thing, but there's nothing we can do other than shake our heads and laugh. A joke on gagadaily won't encourage them :laughga:

Looks like people are finally translating it. It's funny, I was just online yesterday and I saw ToddInTheShadows review this song and he provided a direct translation of some of the lyrics and wow, one of them is mega dirty. But it was so well hidden and so lyrical that I honestly didn't get it until he explained what it meant. "Sign the walls of your labyrinth and turn your entire body into a manuscript." I could maybe guess what the first bit meant but the manuscript part made me go: "Huh?" Until it was spelled out to me. Basically, it was the most pretentious, poetic, lyrical metaphor for: "I'm going to move my d*ck all inside you and cover your whole body in my c*m." I mean, DAMN. No wonder the song doesn't have an English version. It's also very telling how none of the English lyrics that Justin sings are anywhere near that dirty. Little do most people know what they're jamming to. It's quite funny, actually, not to mention some of the other lyrics like: "You're the magnet and I'm the metal", "Just thinking about it accelerates my pulse," and "I'm already enjoying it more than usual." For years, I've always wondered why more Latin artists don't put English versions of their songs out there but not until now do I think I fully get it. Some stuff just can't be translated correctly, there will always be something lost in translation. Cultural differences mean different proverbs, different turns of phrase, different implications. It's not easy to just switch it to English. It might require massive lyrical shift that makes the song very different.

But still, at least people are now aware of what they're actually listening to. Artists could get away with putting in really dirty lyrics and yet allow it to be played all over radio just by switching the language. I don't know, I find it hard to truly get behind a song if I don't know the lyrics. I don't know why so many other people have no problem with it.

Radios here definitely DIDN'T ban Born This Way. They just censored the bridge. I remember it was still heavily spun during the release:laughga:
