VMA's have never really helped her here, it's more a US/Canada thing

Yeah that's what I was thinking, personally never really paid much attention to it before Gaga's 09 VMA performance, but hopefully if it's a good performance or something to remember the press will cover it

Yeah the VMAs don't have an effect on our chart. Hopefully she at least does something that gets a lot of media attention (like the meat dress) so people are fully aware she's back.

Our real hope for an Applause boost is when she comes over for iTunes Fest.

Do you guys think the Itunes festival will help her get higher position?

Not really BUT while she is in London I am sure she'll do some more promo like radio/tv interviews and maybe even a performance.

Channel 4 are showing her iTunes fest performance, so I'm hoping she'll get at least a small boost

Oh that's good, usually it's on ITV2 and no1curr about that. I was worrying about having to watch it online cos my laptop is utter ****e but I forgot it's on TV

I don't suspect there will be much of an effect from it, but then again when she did Big Weekend it did help. That had more hype and advertising though.

I hope she will peak inside top 3  in UK with Applause.

Her last #1 was Telephone in March/April 2010, and her last song to be in top 3 is Born This Way back in 2011...She haven't been on charts in UK for so long

I think Applause has peaked at #05 which is fine

HUGE hopes for single #02 considering she's got a massive X-Factor performance lined up (and who knows, she might perform on other shows while she's over here for the XF)

iTunes Festival might actually make some impact if Channel 4 show it. Radio 1's big weekend was only shown on BBC 3 and it made TEOG shoot back to #1 on iTunes.
