RT Air 0
It is only on B-list at Radio 1, while almost all her main competitors (Ellie, Avicii, Lana) are A-listed which means they get almost twice as much spins, so I think the #5 pos on iTunes is understandable. The song will probably be moved to A list next week and more stations will playlist it, too. The thing with the UK is that the stations decide on their weekly playlist several days in advance, they don't react as quickly as US stations. It might take one more week until it really reaches its peak (which the upcoming promo will also help), but I could be wrong, of course. She'll probably end up at #4 this Sunday but I think she could easily move up next week.
Jonathan2244 1,858
Depends Sadly I Think 4 Will be its Peak :/ The Video and more airplay should hopefully keep it in the top 5 next week :P
LilJackoMonster 0
Put it this way, Gaga has never debuted at #1. All her #1 hits entered the charts at much lower numbers. I'm sure Bad Romance was #8 with full week sales before it crept up to #1 for 3 none consecutive weeks. Basically, all she needs is promo. What she really needs is a live performance on a TV show. The MV and airplay will stabilise the sales but hopefully the itunes festival will be enough promo. I really hope she has some other promo lined up for the UK while she's here. I remember when she performed Born This Way on Graham Norton and it shot back up the charts. Seriously, a little bit of exposure the the viewing public would go a LONG way. Janet 1,417
COME ON GUYS, A BIT OF POSITIVITY! Lol y'all being so depressed, it's had like no airplay, no video, just internet chatter. Once everything kicks in, I'm sure this single will be massive. Had it been released on the 19th (as it should have been), airplay and the video would have been in place to certify a #1 debut, but hey ho **** happens. As someone said, she has never had a number one debut, ALL of her singles have entered much lower than their peak! PMA PMA PMA #PepTalk
RT Air 0
Hopefully, depends if there's anything worth performing on Alan Carr: Chatty Man starts on 30 August, the last time she was there was amazing! :) Hopefully she'll pop in again.
Americano 31,061
She's still Top 5? Great, only about a day or so until the video AND her Radio 1 airplay starts! Probs not the next Bad Romance of the UK, but perhaps something worth noting like Edge of Glory
Harry 26,836
I'm with my friends and we have MTV on and they had this programme on called "Hottest acts in the world right now" and Katy was #2 and they played the Roar lyric video, then Gaga was #1 and they played ....... TFM era is becoming a chain around her neck in terms of radio etc. No one wants to let it go
