Bieb's album beat Beyonce and Britney's last debuts, and almost doubled Rihanna and Katy's ... so all the talk of failure seems rather hollow. He's about where I expected. He could be making it up, but I hope not. Speaking of Carly Rae, she was VERY smart to collaborate with Owl City and have a big single while she is still relevant. Who knows, she could be a Kelly Clarkson-esque star and have hits every once in a while and sell well with her CD's. Wait what are you talking about? Katy Perry has 22 million twitter followers to Bieber's 24 millions, so his fanbase isn't that special. Young fans aren't the greatest album buyers anyway. Hate for him on internet comments is overwhelming, with very few defenders. His musical inspirations like Usher and Timberlake are mostly out of date too. And yet he still did okay. Edit the intro to just start with "Run run" and move the first chorus to follow a shortened version of the bridge. Would have slayed. I still think HU woulda made a great summer song. It may very well not be released, but she needs to stop doing that.
