This is my thread series Last Week in Entertainment. Basically, I'm a entertainment/pop culture buff, so I thought it would be cool to a make a thread series discussing our favorite entertainment/media releases. It's an opportunity to see if you are not alone in liking certain material; as well as discovering new work to follow.

Guidelines (which don't need to be strictly followed, hence guidelines):

1. My preference is for entertainment material that was released in the past week or relatively recently, but if you have something you really want to share that's older, feel free to.

2. Any entertainment medium works; music, film, video games, TV, books, online videos, etc.

*My List*

Albums/EPs: LANY by LANY(a indie dreampop and electropop/rock band)

Songs/Music Videos

Movies: Baby Driver, an action comedy drama about a heist getaway driver with Tinnitus.mp3. Starring Ansel Elgort, Jame Foxx, Jon Hamm, and Kevin Spacey.

Shows: Beat Shazam, To Tell the Truth, Hollywood Game Night, Love Connection, GLOW, Wrecked, and The Most Popular Girls in School

Shorts/Online Videos

how sbout lana songs ! summer bummer/groupie love

I think they will be growers for me, I'm not fully digging them yet. But it's getting there. They're not my favorite new songs of the week or off the album.

It's based off a book but I never heard of it until the movie was announced, so I don't know. It looks like a colorful mythical kid version of Inception :selena:

Juju's Weekly Picks:

Latin Pop Princess Becky G released yet another flawless song in Spanish. The video premiered this week:

A bit more on the chill side, this collaboration between Sound of Arrows and Niki and the Dove is heavenly.

ICYMI: RedOne collaborated with reggae-pop princess Samantha J. for this total summer bop.

J.Lo also came back in full swing!

not particularly last week but the Netflix shows Chewing Gum, OITNB, Stranger Things, 13 Reasons Why and Bojack Horseman are all gr8

I need to get into American Gods. It stars Emily Browning (the actual queen of the universe, she rejected being Bella in Twilight cause she has good taste, and yall would know her from Sucker Punch and Unfortunate Events) and she plays a dead girl who comes back to life, which seems iconic. The show airs every Tuesday on Starz

SPIDER-MAN SPIDER-MAN SPIDER-MAN! That's all I've been praising since I saw it. I also love Groupie Love by Lana

Ooolong

I can't think of much this week, tbh.

For songs I'm digging Selena's Fetish, Kesha's Woman, and Lana's two songs. The other sections I haven't payed much attention to since I've been on the road. :gaysia:
