Sure, people have different thresholds and belief systems and all, so it can be subjective. When I say "inappropriate jokes" I just mean a bit of edgy humour, something that Chris Rock might say. Something that is almost making fun of racists rather than actually being racist. Or just a bit of risque humour. The other day, I was posting in a thread about foods you dislike that everyone else loves. And I said that I can't stand liquorice partly because of it's colour by saying: "It's pitch black! Would you put something black in your mouth?...Don't answer that." Now, when I said that, I didn't say it with racist intention, I have absolutely no qualms with being intimate with black men, it was just my very rare attempt at a dirty joke based on an internal thought that I once had regarding my dislike of liquorice and I just thought it would be funny to repeat it. Nobody said anything against it but I hope no one saw it and thought it was a sign of something subliminal. People online just like to think they know everything about you and think there must be some hidden undertone. Some people just have a certain kind of humour that doesn't always go over well. We can't judge a person's entire personality based on a joke. Agreed, racism can be damaging no matter how mild it is but I still think there's something different between a silly joke and real racism. I think it's best to call out real racism rather than judging and policing jokes. But yeah, if you see anything specific, let me know.
