Has she actually said anything about this either or are we just hyping ourselves for disappointment?

it's said new music (highly likely) at dive bar so i'd imagine she'd have something already cooked on the back burner ready to be served unless she's just waiting til all the food is done cooking and serving us an entire meal but knowing her she's probably gonna starve us and im really thinking about food a lot i should go to sleep

She probably cancelled the dive bar because she hadn't rehearsed her new EP enough. Right? :emma:

I swear the average member of this website cannot remember the days before 2013, or even 2015.

Back in 2009 or 2010 when Gaga was "on top" she maybe had more casual fans than she does now, but she had way more haters. In 2012 it wasn't even cool to like her in the gay community. Gaga may not have millions of teenagers following her on social media, but she doesn't get the hate she used to after proving her talent at the Oscars, in AHS, the past 3 Grammys, Super Bowl, redeeming her gay icon status, doing work with the BTWF, and making more "authentic/organic" music with Joanne.

Selena Gomez (for example) might be the "it girl" with millions more followers, but The Cure (no video, barely any promo, no radio deal) did a lot better than her last single.

Gaga has a great reputation, she's about to start out a soldout world tour, a lot of money was put into a movie she's starring in, and anyone who works with her sings her praises. Sorority girls I know LOVED her at Coachella. They aren't her target audience, and never will be, but at least those kind of people dont HATE Gaga like they used to. Or think she's talentless, weird, too sexual, illuminati, fake, etc

i think it might've been because she needed to catch up on JWT bc she hadn't rehearsed much at all and maybe she hadn't finished music or some other issue idek

Addison Rae

Don't worry, she still has a TON of dedicated stans. Just check the mess that are the Monsters on Twitter :rip:

But in all seriousness, she has still managed to keep the fans that will always be by her side. As well as casual listeners. 15 million listeners world wide on Spotify alone to be exact.

She may have lost some fans during BTW-AP but they have been replaced by people who respect her (adults/elderly people from C2C)

She might have lost some as her style changed (jazz, Joanne etc.) but I think she's more popular now with the general public than she's ever been. I've got friends who are just now realizing how talented she is. She's evolving and trying new stuff that not all of her "fans" will like so I'm sure she'll lose and gain fans with each new "era". I'm here for anything she tries or does so will probably always be a fan. I love never knowing what to expect from her.

I think that what she actually lost was many casual fans and not hardcore fans. Most hardcore fans are probably still here since they became fans. At the same time she did get many new casual and hardcore fans during recent years. And then there are many people that are fans of only some sides of her (some only like her pop, or only like her jazz, or only really paid attention to her because of her covers/tributes and AHS).

Her YouTube views and social media likes tell me she did. The former keeps decreasing.

Yes, But you have to realize Gaga is not the type of artist who will appeal to every demographic like an Adele or Taylor, she's more niche and has core fanbase. She's eccentric, dresses odd and sings more obscure pop music. Releasing a Gay anthem in 2011 was a huge risk for her when she was just coming off from a huge era. I also think the stunts, outrageous outfits ( meat dress) alienated your casual soccer mom GP who might be intersted  in her, basically she's not "safe" for the kids and more conservative America. I also think Joanne alienated a portion of her gay fanbase because a lot of us felt like she was turning her back on us to try and appeal to the middle America type.
