She's apparently been in talks with casting. When asked she said she "couldn't confirm or deny" Plus being Princess Jasmine hardly requires much acting. She can sing and looks the part. I feel like that would perpetuate the "Arab? Indian? What's the difference!" So I'd really really really prefer someone Middle Eastern I literally met an American who couldn't tell the difference between Arabic and Hindi (her bf is Indian) and always "wanted to learn languages from that area like 'Hindi'" like wtf?
