HausOfMiklaus 1,803
I was all ready to come into this thread to preach the Lorde's work and I was pleasantly surprised. Agreed on all counts.

End of the 2000's (2008-2009) and the beginning of the 2010's (2010-2013) so she's like so stuck in the middle, you're not able to say that's she was the artist of that decade. Don't even get me started on that. When they do a top 10 list for certain decades in music, they always include her for both decades but near the back end because she wasn't at the top for long enough to be thought of as the number one fro either. I’m a simple guy to please, if you like Melodrama, we chill.
juju 18,907
Lorde? Miley is the one. She's made some questionable decisions, had some ups and downs. But things like Dead Petz and her undeniable talent and versatility show that she is capable, and I believe she hasn't yet shown the world what she's truly capable of. She is the only one of them young ones that I'm rooting for, at least. ❤ x ❤
SirLudicopro 1,351
I agree, I never listened to Pure Heroine but Melodrama truly scalped me, it's already one of my favorite albums ever. I'm 19 and she's 20, so I'm pretty sure she was my age when she wrote the album, and I have to say it reflects so well all of the feelings one feels around that age, it is one of the most relatable albums I've ever heard. I'm looking forward to her growing up as an artist and writing about experiences that I may be going through at the time, it truly is something special. shmal96 2,928
Probably between Taylor, Ari and Lorde. They all have their niches in pop culture. Lorde is the 'alt girl', Taylor is the 'pop star' and Ari is the 'pop star that can sing' Lorde is this generations Lana (but more commercially successful), Ari is this generations Gaga, and Taylor is this generations Katy pre-Witness
AlexanderMagno 10,746
Rihanna. She's successful no matter what, always. Her singles are not radio friendly and she still slays. Love on the Brain is proof. She's even gathering critical acclaim with Anti. Seriously, Rihanna is bigger than Gaga, Lorde, Miley or whoever
