PeterPan 0
COMMENTS From @IndieKylie Spoiler 01. Television (8.5/10) - I could do without the minute-long intro in the song. Was there a reason that intro couldn't have been it's own track entitle 'intro'? Beyond having to wait a minute to really get to the song, I really do enjoy this song and it is a fun opening track. They lyrics aren't the strongest in the album, but the chorus is infectious and fun. Furthermore, the track lays the groundwork for the rest of the album. 02. Problem (10/10) - Natalia had such a sh*t label. She provided numerous hits to them prior to 'Trouble' that they failed to promote, and then were given 'Problem'. They appropriately gave it lead single treatment, but not much else. This song deserved to smash. It's pulsing, lyrically cunning and sexy, and just oozes 'cool'. 03. Stop Me (8/10) - There's nothing wrong with this song per-say, but it definitely gets lost among the first half of the album. It loses points for being a little forgettable. 04. Boys Don't Cry (10/10) - While Natalia attempts to infuse a little 'doo-wop' in Outta Time, it is utilized most successfully here. This is a pretty flawless song. 05. Daddy's Girl (9/10) - I love the Hall and Oats sample here, it was worth every penny. It really heightens the song and is a cool blend between the two artists. 06. Saturday Night (11/10) - Natalia (Teddy Sinclair now, of course) has some great lyricism on her Cruel Youth tracks, but it's hard to think she will ever top the lyricism on 'Saturday Night'. It's impossible to not give my 11 to her masterpiece. Adele who? This song is so deeply personal, the vocals are 'out of this world', and the production works between the two to create a masterful final product. The music video was wonderfully fitting. This song is her career best and definitely one of my favorite pop-ballads of all time. 07. Devil's Don't Fly (7.5/10) - While this ballad is far superior to Marlboro Lights, it doesn't match the greatness of Saturday Night...but that's okay. It works on it's own and is a solid track. 08. Outta Time (7.5/10) - Not quite as good a 'doo-wop' inspired track as Boys Don't Cry, Outta Time still delivers. 09. Controversy (8.5/10) - You either love this one or you hate it. Actually, not true...I don't love it but I do really like it. On first listen it's so jarring, but after a few it's really fun and different. I get where she was going with it and 'drink the cool aid don't drink the cool aid' is such an ear worm... 10. Rabbit Hole (7/10) - Probably my second least-favorite track. I don't hate it, but it isn't memorable enough to me and seems kind of like a 'less committed' version Controversy. 11. Watching You (7.5/10) - Forgettable, but not inherently bad. It's hard to sit through this, Rabbit Hole ,and Marlboro Lights knowing that a masterpiece like 'Trouble' follows them. I often want to skip over to one of her best songs. 12. Marlboro Lights (3.5/10) - I hate this song with a passion. Was there another ballad she could have put here? Just cliche'd and so unlike the rest of the album. She gets points for her vocals and I guess the lyrics are somewhat redeemable. 13. Trouble (10/10) - A close second for my 11, 'Trouble' deserves its recognition as title track. It's an incredibly personal song with lowkey production that appropriately highlights Natalia's voice and lyrical genius. From @GoldenPonyboy Spoiler 1. Television : 8 - The intro is a little long, but when it starts its a banger 2. Problem : 10 - My stripper song 3. Stop Me : 7 -It feels epic, kinda like Wonder woman's team song 4. Boys Don't Cry : 8 - The production on the song is everything. Great song, but I think the verses are overpowering the chorus, which isn't a bad thing really but it would have been nice to have a bigger chorus. 5. Daddy's Girl :10 - I absolutetly love this one. I just wiched that she would have reprised the rich girl sample a couple times through the song 6. Saturday Night : 11 - One of my favorite songs of all time. The video is also genius. 7. Devils Don't Fly : 7 - Good little ballad, but it doesn't take my anywhere. 8. Outta Time : 8 - I like it, kinda feels a little retro. pretty chill song that goes well in a summer playlist. 9. Controversy : 6 - I get what she is going for, it should have been in intro to the album and not in the middle right there. It just doesn't go anywhere for me. 10. Rabbit Hole : 5 - It just gets annoying really fast. By the time you're halfway through it, it's already gotten old. 11. Watching You : 8 - The production is not the best but i like it a lot anyway. That chorus should have been on Boys don't Cry. 12. Marlboro Lights : 10 - I might have cried to this a couple times. lyrics are really good. relateble for me at least 13. Trouble : 10 - Great album closer, really love it. I just wish the last chorus had a signing part under the ohh ohh ohh's just to make it even more epic. like in Flyleaf's Broken Wings if anyone knows that song. From @Merryem Spoiler 1. Television: 8, bop 2. Problem: 8.5, bigger bop 3. Stop Me: 10, legendary lyrics, a true BOP. 4. Boys Don't Cry: 7, bop but not as much of a bop 5. Daddy's Girl: 3, forgettable 6. Saturday Night: 5, overrated 7. Devils Don't Fly: 9.5, BOP almost on the level of stop me 8. Outta Time: 5, not bad but still meh 9. Controversy: 8.5, lyricism is amazing but the actual song could be better 10. Rabbit Hole: 3, forgettable 11. Watching You: 1, who 12. Marlboro Lights: 11, best song off the album and an absolute killer ballad with lyricism gaga WISHES. a true gem. 13. Trouble: 10, another true bop. stop me/marlboro lights/trouble = pop TRINITY, a mother****ing trio! From @Ibo Spoiler 1. Television 10/10 - What an opener. The dark and cinematic intro followed by such pop perfection is just too good to put in words. 3. Stop Me 8/10 - SO MUCH potential, but unfortunately the production disappoints during the chorus. Otherwise a perfect song. The melodies are divine. "I put my high heels on so I'm closer to God" is also such a brilliant line. 5. Daddy's Girl 9/10 - Fun fact: When the album was released I used to skip this one, but now it's one of my favorites! It's SO catchy! 6. Saturday Night 11/10 - Perfection. Hands down one of the best pop songs of this decade. Both lyrically and production wise it's top tier material. 7. Devils Don't Fly 10/10 - This whole album is brilliant when it comes to the lyrics, but Devils Don't Fly, Marlboro Lights, and Saturday Night are in a league of their own. Brilliant imagery and melodies. 8. Outta Time 10/10 - I really don't get why so many people think this is the weakest track on the album. The production is simply beautiful and her voice shines on this one. 9. Controversy 9/10 - ****ing for a. McDonalds. Fabulous.

MaryJaneHolland 77,348
I'm glad the title track won, it's my favorite song by her. Outta Time is indeed the least eventful song on the album. BUT WHY THE **** IS WATCHING YOU THAT LOW? OR RABBIT HOLE?

OR RABBIT HOLE? at least every song is over a 7 average I'm sorry the results was lazy but since the lack of participation and doing the MDNA and 2017 Lead Rates recently with about 30 participants each I decided to just make this a one and done thing.
