HAPPY 2ND ANNIVERSARY NINTENDO SWITCH :woot:

What a beautiful 2 years it’s been :flutter: I got my Switch in June/July 2017 so it wasn’t straight away but it’s probably the Nintendo console that I’ve enjoyed the most so far. I don’t think I’ve had as many and played as many games on any of the other Nintendo consoles. There’s something for every mood and genre

In 2 years we’ve gotten some benchmark games already and there’s still so long left in its life, I can’t imagine what other huge games are gonna be out by the end of it all  May the happiness continue as the years go on. We may not have Reggie or Mr. Iwata (R.I.P. :ohno:) but I think it will all go swimmingly

I loved them both :flutter: It’s quite a different type of game to anything I’ve played before, not totally sure how to explain it :laughga:

Basically you’re in an abandoned town and digging through the ground to collect treasure and unlock abilities to be able to progress further down into the depths. Whatever you collect isn’t actually pocketed until you go back up to the surface and sell it though. Also your lantern only lasts a certain amount of time (that can also be upgraded) so it’s doing what you can in that time before going back up to pocket what you have and upgrade further. The story’s kinda cool too, especially the second one.

The second one is just amazing in my opinion, with all of the abilities and the graphics are really nice and pretty and everything, but it’s best to start with the first still to get a feel of it and to set the backdrop of the story and how things go  For that price I’d recommend them even more. The first one doesn’t last that long but it’s a nice journey for its length, the second one lasts longer and has a lot more collectibles and areas to explore and so on :flutter:

Really hope they make a SteamWorld Dig 3 one day :excited2:

Mario games on the eShop will be discounted $20 for Mario Day (Mar10) starting tomorrow until March 16. Games include Odyssey, Party, Mario Bros U. Deluxe, Kart, and Tennis. Lowkey considering picking Tennis or SMBUD up.

Yes, also a big Portuguese retail made the “Mario week” with every Mario game with 25% discount, if you buy a switch you get for free 2 Mario games of your choice and all of the accessories are “buy 3 pay 2”

its insane here

It sounds like a very interesting game, like a platform Dig Dug/Digger, I'm ok with it being short tbh, I have so many games and they are long so I need some short "vacation" games to enjoy in the middle,  I heard that the 2nd is better than the 1st, but I want to play the whole experience, so I'm buying it!!!!  the price is awesome, 13$ for both games, is less than buying the 2nd haha

I can't wait for the Mario sale next week, I'm going to buy New Super Mario, I mean, I'm gonna ask my dad to buy it for me because he's not really spending money on me since I left the country :laughga:

OMG SO HOLLOW KNIGHT MIGHT BE GETTING A PHYSICAL RELEASE AFTER ALL :udidnt:

http://www.nintendolife.com/news/2019/02/hollow_knight_esrb_classification_suggests_a_physical_release_is_finally_happening

Long story short, it was given an ESRB rating of E10+ and ESRB ratings are only given to physical games, not digital-only games. So basically it indicates that a physical release could be on the way soon  I really hope it does :cryga:

Also noticed that Okami HD had a physical release in Japan and it supports English so I might order that online. I remember I had a friend from Neopets when I was like 10 and we'd chat on Yahoo Messenger and she told me about Okami and how amazing it was. It's been 15 years and I've still never played it but I've only ever heard good things :flutter:

I have both!

So Okami is really amazing but I have some up and downs sometimes with it, but overall is very beautiful and very original and you'll start to discover some easter eggs in Bayonetta about Okami that you didn't realize before haha

Hollow Knight is beautiful but can frustrating, at this moment I'm taking a break from it because it pissed me off, but the game is really amazing, the art is wonderful and it's pretty long for an indie game (like 40 hours if you don't die)

I bought Steamworld Dig 1+2 and Guacamelee, will play them later today

Has anyone played the demo of Yoshi's Crafted World? How did you find it?

YAY hope you have fun :woohoo:

I just love games that look different, it becomes such a unique experience :flutter: That's part of why I really enjoyed Octopath Traveler and Owlboy (both of them had among the best stories I've seen still though).

Yeah I've seen on YouTube how unforgiving Hollow Knight can be at parts, but I'm totally up for a challenge. Plus I'm a completionist so it'll last way longer than 40 hours for me :yay:

It looks like the sale is retails only and not in the eshop :( it's not there yet :(

I played the demo, I found it very cute, challenging but yet a bit childish I would say, but the world is pretty amazing, feels real actually and I admire the developers for building this world from craft.

Yes me too, I don't care about the gameplay, I can get used to any gameplay, I just love a difference, something unique.

How is Owlboy, is on my wishlist but I'm holding back o far..

I didn't like Octopath, I played the demo and I was kinda bored lol

OMG me too, like I can stuck on one point and do it over and over and die the whole day until I get the collectible on something

If y'all couldn't tell by my av, I'm an avid motorsport fan. Today I went to the first race of the IndyCar Series' 2019 season, the Firestone Grand Prix of St Petersburg (Florida, of course)!

Gaga served as Grand Marshall of the 2016 Indy 500 (which is typically the biggest race of the year) as pictured in my av.

Just gonna post a couple vids here for all you Nintendsters cause it doesn't warrant a full thread and I feel like sharing.

Lap 1, start of race opening straight: https://streamable.com/shuza
Lap 72, just after turn 3: https://streamable.com/15kn2

To stay on topic: Darn it, Nintendo! I love racing so please give me a new F-Zero! :grr:
