It's got a metal hard shell and the inside is padded but stiff and omg it just looks so great and feels great to hold as well No straps to hold the Switch in place or wrist strap/handle on the outside but my Joy Cons have covers on them anyway so it fits extremely snug in there and doesn't move around at all Also holders for 5 game cartridges which are more than enough for anything really (at the moment anyway ).
