No reason to be sensitive over what is good advice. Good albums including Joanne ... as a collection of songs come together quite nicely as most of the songs were developed in a continuous stretch of several months. She went against her label and her manager in 2013. If it wasn't for Jimmy believing and loving Gaga, they could've ruined her. Instead, they believed her, they were on her side when she wanted to split with Troy and so on. And ARTPOP is a catastrophe. Not that much in the sense that it didn't sell well or that it didn't havea hit, but moreso that it was that huge BUMP in Gaga's career that everybody talked about. Gaga could have been seen as Beyonce level right now, but she isn't. And it's solely because of ARTPOP. To conclude, Gaga recently sang at Jimmy's wedding etc. they are still in great terms and it should remain like that, because Jimmy is one of the most important people in the music industry. Yes and I distinctly remember when he was an American Idol judge - he convinced one of the contestants to cover You and I before the album was even realeased. He obviously believes in Gaga. It doesn't matter if it's Gaga or not, but sometimes she needs to listen to people who constructively criticizes her. Part of me believes that where Gaga now is is the result of being surrounded by people who are yes-men. PUKKIE 457 Posted July 7, 2017 Share Posted July 7, 2017 BUT HE IS 100% CORRECT...after ARTPOP Gaga was NEVER THE SAME...and right now its like she is slowly recovering from that injury of that era... what he is saying about the behind the scenes of the music business is really making sense. if people can buy Beyonce who in my opion is same level Gaga in creativity and talent (different directions of ocurse) they surely can buy Gaga. theres a whole list of decisions that affect how an album rolls out.. if i was Gagas mananger i would also not have let her do ARTPOP as a complete era, as a delux edition,yeah sure.
