I was never a fan of her other albums, just a couple of songs (Animal, Harold Song, Blow, Take It Off, All That Matters & Out Alive) but now that she's free from Dr. Luke and based on Praying, this is going to be interesting! Joemayzin 4,028 Posted July 7, 2017 Share Posted July 7, 2017 was listening this at work earlier doing my projects but since I've been home and listening to it with headphones i must say I'm really actually loving this raw, mature sound recently from a lot of singers.. guess growing up really helps evolve your music, now I'm always down for a catchy song with some sick beats but hearing her lyrics so close up, i really can't wait for her to release this album and start over with a new beginning, welcome back Kesha!! For songwriters especially, I would feel a bit less inclined to stan or follow an artist that goes through very dramatic life changes but remains writing songs like "Tik Tok" all the time. Surely, there is place for all kinds of "popstars", but they just probably wouldnt get any sales from me. There will be more pop artists putting out bops for a very very long time. I don't know of many female solo artists today that are solely inspired by pop music as a genre; they are inspired by their lives and experiences and those take many different shapes. Some artists may try to package these things through a pop medium, but others feel drawn to different genres. I honestly feel bad spending the money, but I want to pre-order it on iTunes and get the Vinyl (and perhaps CD too). The vinyl is actually pretty cheap and I'm so surprised it will be released the same day as the album! Usually they come a few months later...
