The staple go-to podcasts for people as far as recommendations go are usually This American Life and Serial, I haven't listened to either personally, though. Great true crime and paranormal series, if you're gonna give it a try, def listen to the Manson series! Better coverage than any documentaries and they are HILARIOUS, so it's not as scary!
