YES! (at least in 2017)

Also, I like these Halsey lyrics from Hopeless:

'Cause you know the truth hurts, but secrets kill
Can't help thinkin' that I love it still
Still here, there must be something real
'Cause you know the good die young, but so did this
And so it must be better than I think it is
Gimme those eyes, it's easy to forgive

Yes :selena:

Sorry to my unknown lover

Sorry that I can't believe

That anybody ever really starts to fall in love with me :selena:

chaeri pls

We are not just art for Michelangelo to carve

He can't rewrite the agro of my furied heart

I'll wait on mountain tops in Paris, cold

Je ne veux pas mourir tout seule

this part kinda irks me, because Paris has no mountains :oprah:

Gaga honey, where??

also *toute seule because Gaga is female, I thought the rumors died long time ago  :poot:

Mariah Carey - The Roof
It wasn't raining yet
But it was definitely a little misty on
That warm November night
And my heart was pounding
My inner voice resounding
Begging me to turn away
But I just had to see your face to feel alive
And then you casually walked in the room
And I was twisted in the web of my desire for you
My apprehension blew away
I only wanted you to taste my sadness
As you kissed me in the dark

Every time I feel the need
I envision you caressing me
And go back in time
To relive the splendor of you and I
On the rooftop that rainy night

And so we finished the Moet
And started feeling liberated
And I surrendered as you took me in your arms
I was so caught up in the moment
I couldn't bear to let you go yet
So I threw caution to the wind
And started listening to my longing heart
And then you softly pressed your lips to mine
And feelings surfaced I'd suppressed
For such a long long time
And for a while I forgot the sorrow and the pain
And melted with you as we stood there in the rain

I know too many good lyrics to go through them all now to find the best one. But here's the first one that came to my mind:

Björk - Harm of Will

If there is a troubador washing: it is he
If there is a man about town: it is he
If there is one to be sought: it is he
If there are nine she's: they are bought for me

This way is as is she
And he placed her unclothed (long, long) longlegged
On top of the family tree

And if he has chosen the point while she is under him
Then leave her coily placed crouched sucking him
For it is I
With her on knee

I leave her without pith or feel
And leave her be
Leave it be, for he controls what there'll be
He makes his face known to none
For if he is seen, then all will
And all will know
Know me

You have good taste, Vespertine is one of the best bodies of music ever created. :golfclap:

swooning

I firmly believe that "A Case of You" remains the greatest song ever written. An anthem for enlightened doormats.

Just before our love got lost you said

"I am as constant as a northern star"
And I said "Constantly in the darkness
Where's that at?
If you want me I'll be in the bar"

On the back of a cartoon coaster
In the blue TV screen light
I drew a map of Canada
Oh Canada
With your face sketched on it twice
Oh you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet

Oh I could drink a case of you darling
Still I'd be on my feet
oh I would still be on my feet

Oh I am a lonely painter
I live in a box of paints
I'm frightened by the devil
And I'm drawn to those ones that ain't afraid

I remember that time you told me you said
"Love is touching souls"
Surely you touched mine
'Cause part of you pours out of me
In these lines from time to time
Oh, you're in my blood like holy wine
You taste so bitter and so sweet

Oh I could drink a case of you darling
And I would still be on my feet
I would still be on my feet

I met a woman
She had a mouth like yours
She knew your life
She knew your devils and your deeds
And she said
"Go to him, stay with him if you can
But be prepared to bleed"

Oh but you are in my blood
You're my holy wine
You're so bitter, bitter and so sweet

Oh, I could drink a case of you darling
Still I'd be on my feet
I would still be on my feet

Luxe Ford

Straight out of my biography:

"I'm a blushing bud of innocence
Says Papa at a big expense
Old maids say I have no sense
Boys declare I'm just immense
For my song I do conclude
I want it strictly understood
Though fond of fun, I'm never rude
Though not too bad I'm not too good"

Malcolm McLaren - Waltz Darling

i need you more than dope

Oh god dope gets me every freakin time 😢 I mean she's basically saying "I know I ****ed up but please forgive me little monsters because I would break without you. I'll keep looking for the answer to my addictions because you mean more to me than drugs ever will." Some may say that the devotion to her monsters is extreme but remember this is the woman who said that the most suprising thing about fame was the relationship with her fans because we became her reason for everything ♥️

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

There's a film called "Paris is burning" and there's a scene where they're talking about the importance of "drag mothers" in the drag world. These "mothers" would take these lost and broken queens in and give them a sense of family. That scene always makes me teary eyed because for so many monsters, gaga did the same. She gave us a family "little monsters" where no one said we were too weird, gay, etc. There's a reason we call her mama monster haha. Family isn't about DNA but who will be there when **** gets real

I love you monsters. I'd be unfixably broken without you

XXXXX

I lay awake sometimes
Scared to close my eyes
And I wonder where I left myself
And lost the will to fight

And the night melts into morning
Still it's cold beneath the sun
'Cause the fire in me is languishing
And I'm too frozen to run

And every once in a while
There's a distant glimmer of hope
I find somewhere deep inside
Someone strong still resides
And I know she's gonna be fine in time

'Cause, you see
I've got a lot to dream
There's more than this for me

An angel lands with broken wings
He warms me with his eyes
And the ice that's sheathed around my heart
Unravels as he smiles

See I grew up locked in sorrow
So I learn to block the pain
But I won't give up tomorrow
'Cause I've come to life again
