The homphobia in Israel is coming mostly from the orthodox and the muslim and it's centered in Jerusalem, the rest of the cities are very open minded, more than 65% of the Israelis are pro gay marriage, since the 90s gays could serve at the military (way before the USA..), kid of gay couples or lesbians are adopted automatically by the non biological parents and it's written father-father or mother-mother in ID and more and more.. we just need marriage or civil union but this issue is not only for lgbt but for many straights who can't marry..
