Albums sales don't matter today unless you are Adele. Even 58 year old  madonna can sell a milion records with an album.  A record label today is making money from touring and merchandise products.  We are living in 2017, where an album barely sells 2 million worldwide, while a hit song easily reach 2 billion streams. Streaming is getting bigger and bigger, while sales are less and less and less.
