That's why she took forever to make both Blue's and the twins' pregnancies public

If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

True, and I think a lot of women do this now. The only thing worse than losing your child before birth is losing the child after you've told millions of people who are just as excited as you/hate you.

May I Read You? 😎

These lyrics make him look so bad, did he cheat multiple times? :wtf: Beyoncé is a strong woman for staying with him, I know I wouldn't.

Even though Beyonce has borne the brunt of my criticism many a time, I have never questioned this. Jay revealed she'd had a miscarriage just before having Blue. Multiple tries even after a full-term pregnancy can be high risk. This is obviously why she waited so late to announce the twins, as is generally advised. Most mothers now are too afraid to say anything before 6 months, if someone doesn't notice their stomach first. Miscarriage is nothing to be ashamed about and it's good to have it discussed openly.

This is why I loved Lemonade too. It was real.

And then you had scores of people attacking her..

I never doubted the validity of her miscarriage claims, though, nor did anyone else. Whether she was really carrying a child was one thing, but I didn't hear anyone saying she lied about miscarrying. I doubt something so heart-wrenching would be lied about. Oddly enough, I didn't really take the line of "here lies the mother of my children both living and dead" in that sense, though. I did think about the previous claim of miscarriage but then I thought it was a reference to herself. Like, "She may be dead, but she's still your mother" kinda thing. But now I realise that makes no sense, of course your mother is still your mother even if she's dead, that's a given. So, it must have been a reference to multiple miscarriages. Makes that line a whole lot more sad now. Can't say much about the song it was attached to, but I love that dialogue, especially "Her shroud is loneliness, her god was listening." Those last lines just make me want to well up.

Don't worry, I wasn't talking about you. But the general hate for Beyonce seems to say that Beyonce has zero talent or zero motivation behind her work.

Even the scene of her and her dancers walking on the water was suppose to be a visual that reflected slavery. I forgot the date in history, but it's these things that really "triggered" a dialogue.

And truthfully, I don't think Lemonade was suppose to make sense for everyone. Some of the poetry may have given off a different vibe for the viewers, but it made sense for Beyonce. It was her truth.

I know, I just decided to cover all the bases there for whoever you might be referring to. It was the idea of whether the infidelity was real that was my biggest query, as it was many others, considering that Jay oversaw the album's production and why would he let his wife release an album that slandered him and maybe would cause his career to suffer? Not to mention the fact she stayed with him and had more children. But I've never down-talked Beyonce's talent or said that she doesn't work hard. I think there's far more talented and more hardworking artists out there but I think she's still in the top leagues even so. I have been accused of being bias towards her before but if I was, I'd be saying she contributes nothing. I'm fair to her, I praise her when she does something good and criticise her when she does something bad. Some people only want to see the negative.

I get all the slavery imagery and concepts of pre-slavery Africa, the black experience post-slavery, modern demonisation of blacks and black female beauty and strength. It was certainly beautiful cinematography. The only thing that rubbed me up the wrong way was the timing - she only seemed to only make all this stuff her priority when supporting the black struggle became popular. Taking an opportunity to get more successful and running with it. And it was strange how she never stopped showcasing her blonde, relaxed hair throughout. Yes, it was curly, but it was white people curly. I've never seen Beyonce with non-blonde hair, unless you count footage from her very early childhood. Throughout her fame, its always been some shade of blonde, even if the style is natural. If she's supporting natural black beauty, why doesn't she have the same natural black hair as her backup dancers? I'm surprised at the lack of black people questioning this, honestly.

I think it's obvious Beyonce loves the album. But elements of it have a question mark hovering over them as regards how truthful they are. And as we've slowly found out, not all of it was even her words, not even the "Becky with the good hair" line. If a line that personal was not hers, what else wasn't? I have no problem with people liking the album but to just believe it all as undeniable truth is a bit far-fetched in my mind.

I really don't understanding why telling Beyonce to wear her natural hair is a thing. Sure, it would be cool, but is that really the problem at hand? It just seems like small things to nitpick.

Collaborating with other artists always benefit other artists. When I say her truth, it doesn't mean Beyonce had to do all the writing, instrumentals, lighting, film, costumes, set design, etc. The art piece as a whole is what's important to what she and others may say.

At the end of the day it just amazes me how much some people care to demean this piece of art instead of just accepting it and moving on. There will always be inconsistencies and inaccuracies in art. And that's what makes it human. It's great.

It's not really a small thing to nitpick when it's the entire raison d'etre of her album, a major source of its imagery and message. All the black women that surround her in the videos and live on stage have natural hair. The fact she herself doesn't is very unusual. I mean, when a white person uses any kind of black music, they are dragged if they don't actually contribute in any way to improving the lives of black people. It's a requirement these days, apparently. It's like, you can't choose some of the culture that you like and ignore other parts. So, if Beyonce won't even take on her natural hair colour, what does that say for her true support for the message of her album? You can't call certain people out but not others.

The problem I have with the album is that her fans are making out like this is all her work and calling her a genius. Beyonce has had minimal involvement in all her work, her voice and performance has always been at the forefront of importance for her. She hires people to do the rest. Sia said that she pays for a whole team to bunk up in a hotel or whatnot to work on her album. A true songwriter can write songs completely on their own, if they so choose. I just think, when artists like Gaga, who can play multiple instruments and write all their own work almost completely on their own (Gaga's credits are only so long because she's extremely generous, even where she doesn't need to be) are not called geniuses really gets to me. Gaga is better than Beyonce when we're talking about all talents combined. So, why doesn't she get the respect? As someone who has recently turned to songwriting myself and I do it all completely on my own, the phrase: "Writing a line or two doesn't make you a songwriter" has never been more important to me. Credit where credit's due and all that.
