heygirl 842
Gaga is such a diverse musician and artist it is impossible to find one thing which would encapsulate all of her career, but I feel like this one performance does a really good job at portraying who she is as an artist. It showcases her theatrical side, her vocals, one of her biggest hits, her gay activism (this is a slight reach but dont come for me, she did mention the gay community by saying pokerface is about making love to a man but thinking about chicks after all), and her funny side, all while being Gaga with that stellar outfit. thoughts? be kind guys
kvnrp 48,353
I haven't seen this before And it's on her official Vevo? From 2014?! But Gaga will always slay when she's on the piano. I wish she would do more piano performances on TV.

Not her face looking straight off The Fame era in 2013 This performace is a gem, totally underrated.
Panchecco 17,605
every performance at the piano would represent Gaga very well because when she's at the piano she sounds the best and she always gives her 110%
Miel 15,009
I love this particular piano arrangement of the song, although I miss the Blueberry Kisses outro. Although I still love how she's always been cheeky about what the song is actually about, lol. Also, anybody notice how the outfit is an ARTPOP version of this outfit? Even the wig outside the hood is similar. http://vignette3.wikia.nocookie.net/ladygaga/images/9/99/7-17-09_Fame_Ball_Palladium_Cologne_001.JPG/revision/latest?cb=20141120191752&path-prefix=ru 3 points in and ready for more
Slayer 9,227
Never seen this one before! When was this? I think the performance that encapsulates Gaga as an artist is the one below. It is probably the single most controversial performance of her career (yes, even beating the VMAs 2009) and it was so f*cking rock n' roll. But at the same time, it was also shock art and it got everybody discussing whether something so disgusting could be considered art or not. When she screams "f*ck you, pop music, this is ARTPOP" (which has become an iconic quote in itself), it's like... the culmination of all her hard work trying to convince everyone that she's a true artist, exploding in this huge, raging climax. I'm not even the biggest fan of the performance, but I can step back and admire it as one of, if not the, definitive performance that encapsulates what she is trying to do as an artist. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!!

Yeah I see what you mean, and even partially agree, but I would say that that performance is more definitive of ARTPOP than it is of Gaga as an artist. And although ARTPOP is a part of Gaga, it isn't definitive of Lady Gaga as the artist and icon she is, in my opinion. Spoiler We often forget that Lady Gaga is the combination between Lady and Gaga. That SXSW performance is more of the Gaga than the lady. In contrast to the performance I suggested, where she was showcasing both the Lady and the Gaga simultaneously. Though I do understand where you're coming from with what you mean by it being the raging climax of her hard work, too. be kind guys
