Haven't heard the album yet as I don't pay into Jay's empire. I'll just have to wait until it somehow becomes available on YouTube. It will eventually. Even Beyonce's album only took a few days, however brief. So, any criticism that I make will be based on what's being reported and I make no secret of that fact, before anyone says anything.

The lyric is actually quite ambiguous, it's not necessarily referring to cheating. But it is leaving the suggestion wide open. Which is exactly what he wants, to increase speculation. Such a lyric was inevitable. It doesn't shock me, it bores me. Yet the public eat it up. I'm sick of this whole "he said she said" thing. It's so obvious what they're doing and it's high time the public showed them that we're not stupid and we won't mindlessly buy into whatever PR stunt they want to push with their private life. The sheer arrogance to think that we honestly care about every little element of their life astounds me, especially in regards to their children. They act as if they're the first people to have ever become parents, even going so far as to apply copyrights to their children's names and file lawsuits against those who use them in business, even if the business was around before they came up with the name. That just tells you how much ego they have. I don't care about their tangled love life, although I do have the biggest sympathy for how this will affect their children, especially when they find out about all this stuff when they're older. Just try to imagine finding out your parents have done all this stuff and used you for fame even as a child. Do their fans care about their lives? Yes, but do they genuinely care? I sometimes wonder if they're just being told to.

I'm equally as harsh on Taylor when she does this. I'm also harsh on anyone else who does this and puts in really personal details, especially involving sex lives or calls the person nasty names or whatever. It usually happens to women and it's usually by sexist guys. It's not cool and the only time I halfway accept it is if one side humiliated the other, so the other side equally humiliates them back. Don't dish it if you can't take it. But if you're going to make a track about an ex, make sure it's an actual ex, not someone you're still with or seeing on and off and "it's complicated." Not here for that at all. I'll go deeper into that in my next replies below for further details.

And she releases it in such a way that the public will unquestionably be talking about it. She leaves little Easter egg trails of revealing lyrics to keep the fans interested in her life like it's a gossip magazine instead of an honest portrayal of what's in her heart. It's all a self-centered exercise. Put it this way, if Gaga wrote a song about how Taylor cheated and how she was so mad at him yet still remained with him, I would not be the least bit happy. I'd say she either made it all up for publicity or she's got a weak character to stay with a man who doesn't respect her despite her having more than enough money and status to leave him. I would have accepted Lemonade as undeniable truth if Beyonce had left Jay after releasing it. You cannot be this mad at someone and then forgive them. How can she stay with a man who is unfaithful and run the risk of her daughter experiencing a fraught home life and a potential divorce further down the line? Sure, Beyonce has every right to be the type of artist she wants to be but that doesn't make her immune to criticism. For obvious reasons, the public does not like to be made to feel like they're being lied to and manipulated in order to make already rich people even richer.

You're talking nonsense and your long standing bias against Beyonce is so notoriously prominent whenever you speak about her that I can't believe you expect me to take you seriously.

These are all baseless and subjective statements that you're making. Gaga doesn't "force her stories on the public"? Gaga talks about her personal life all the time - note I'm not saying this is a bad thing. But she gives away more about her personal life on social media & in interviews than Beyonce does. Beyonce doesn't even do press. All artists write about their personal experiences and have themselves at the center of their work. That's the nature of being an artist. It's stories about them, or at least from their perspective.

Once again we find ourselves in this position where you're dictating what a strong woman is or not. How can you sit there and comfortably call yourself a feminist when you're saying that Beyonce is weak for making personal decisions about her life, family and marriage? That is not an easy situation to be in. It's certainly not a situation you or I have ever been in, so how can you judge it? You're so close minded, and actually no one gives a damn whether you believe it or not.
