Should Gaga Have Released Joanne This Year?

It would've been perfect timing with the Super Bowl and Coachella

Single 1 (February 2017): Million Reasons - Debuted At Superbowl - It would've soared straight to the top of the charts due to the immense popularity of the Super Bowl and would've been a huge comeback, especially as fans will have been anticipating her return.

Single 2 (April 2017): Dancin' In Circles - Debuted At Coachella - It's a trendy song with Summer vibes that would've appealed because again, it's trendy and it's about sex so would fit in nicely on the radio

Album Release - May 18th 2017 (dunno why it's the 18th)

Single 3 (June 2017- Promo Single): Diamond Heart - Could become everything Perfect Illusion tried to be

Single 4 (September 2017): Angel Down - A nice final single before the tour

Tour: October 2017 - April 2018

I'm not here for a four month gap between the lead and the album

That's entirely too long

Spoiler

I barely survived the month or so between PI and Joanne :cryga:

That would be a pretty great era though, not going to lie.

I like Everything about this plan but DIC as a single :classy:

After Million Reasons it just goes downhill. The other potential singles are A-YO, Joanne and just to try it even though it's a flop waiting to happen DIC.

Also that big gap is just a no, one month was just perfect and I hope Gaga uses this strategy more in the future.

And no, I'm okay with a 2016 release. She pretty much had no competition.

Monsters never die.

No, because Joanne is the reason we got Superbowl (which is the reasonw we got Coachella.)

REALITY

That's a big what if though. I thought you were just referring to having Joanne released this year, but you made up an entirely different single/promo list.

Also, as @PartySick mentioned, the gap between the lead single and the album itself is far too long. No one would care at that point (and if you're a LM, you'd be fed up long before then).

No because that wait would've been too long and the gap far too wide. Plus if she wanted any longer for a "comeback single" and the lead was a ballad, the momentum for the album would've been even less than that of PI. Pass.

I like the idea of million Reasons for the super bowl and maybe album release around Coachella. But it was fine the way she did it

No. But she should've kept DIC off the album and suprise dropped it ala The Cure this year as a standalone single. :tony:
