well, yes, it's happening before the Joanne Tour, so it can be seen as the Joanne era definitely, but I think it's moving away from the Joanne concept more than anything.

and the rest?

TIHTY was released after the CTC era ended if I recall, at least if you believe an era is finished when the tour is over. So that's a bit of an awkward situation. But yes, CT and Chilling are part of TF era.

The era isn't over until the tour for the album is over in my opinion.

you consider side projects as part of her main discography? :oprah:

idk i'm still a little iffy about this. The Cure is sonically removed from Joanne

Try not to put anything in a box. The Cure might be for LG6 or just a stand alone single. There is a reason if the  sound and visuals are so different from Joanne.

What is the Joanne sound/visuals exactly?

you're the one trying to put Joanne in a box :air:

Joanne has a wide ass variety of sounds, try telling me Dancin' in Circles, Perfect Illusion, Sinner's Prayer, Come To Mama, etc. all sound similar. :selena:

ABSOLUTELY NOT. The Cure has nothing to do with the Joanne Era.

But it premiered as part of the Joanne era (Coachella), and as of now, is a standalone single, so yes, it is part of the Joanne era. Just as The Lady is a Tramp is most definitely part of the BTW era (but would foreshadow the CTC era), Chillin' is part of The Fame era, Video Phone is part of The Fame Monster Era....TIHTY is an exception because it was released between eras. The Joanne era is not over until the tour is over.

Been a long time but I'm back in town, and this time I'm not leaving without you

Same, it feels very strange. During ARTPOP it was mainly just the fashion that changed, and besides change was the actually theme. But I do suppose the theme of Joanne could be her journey from pain to healing, I believe in an interview she even said now that she released the album she can focus on healing.

This is very true, the Joanne era feels all over the place, but it feels the strongest for some reason. She isn't focusing on being that Pink Hat, stripped back Gaga, but instead a mix of everything. Superbowl, we had a lot of TF/TFM references. Coachella, more ARTPOP and BTW tracks was performed, which was good. The outfits weren't artRave or BTWB style. And I agree on the surprise, everything was a nice surprise.

Gaga taking the Superbowl, taking over Beyoncé's spot at Coachella, releasing her single Perfect Illusion and Joanne, John Wayne video, announcement of her tour, and we got a new single, The Cure. These points are good, and the Joanne era has felt like a mix of everything, a surprise era.

I think this era, she's literally doing whatever comes to her mind, so everything feels more spontaneous and nothing really feels forced

sorta entirely opposite of ARTPOP era where she was trying so hard to fit the theme when it was obvious she was so tired of the era and had nothing to offer already

(still love that era to death though)
