gagzus

she doesn't lipsync she just uses backing track so that the song still sounds good so when she's out of breath it's not off putting or annoying which is a smart move

She never lip syncs in televised performances, like, that's a ****ingg fact, we've all seen her.

The only time it's clear she's lip-syncing live on TV is the performance I posted above, Applause Live @ Gaga & The Muppets. Other than that I don't think she has ever lip-synced live on TV.

On tours, the backing vocals during the choruses are too loud.

I don't know why are some of y'all so pressed about lip-syncing tho :toofunny: If lip-syncing (pre-recorded live vocals only, not some Britney mess aka CD playing) means that the singer is going to give me a great live show with am amazing stage performing, then why not? At the end of the day, people go to a concert to see a show, not to listen to singing, at least for shows by artists such as Gaga, Beyonce, Madonna etc. If you want to listen someone sing, buy a record.

There are two types of lip-syncing:

1. This mess.

Maybe Britney was a bad example, because her overall stage presence nowadays is equal to 0. I don't know why her fans keep claiming that she's a performer, like.... walking with tiny steps and moving your hands fast is not something a performance artist does.

2. This.

It's clear that the vocals are pre-recorded and slightly pitched, but at least it's not a CD playing, and if you don't pay that much attention, you probably won't even recognize she's lip-syncing. But, look at THAT. She's delivering a real show. During the whole show she's dancing for her life, jumping off 5 meters, walking on a tightrope, fighting with her dancers.... just delivering an entertaining show.

If the artist gives me this, an entertaining  and theatrical show, I don't care whether they lip-sync or not. But again, lip-syncing like in Madonna's case, Britney's is way too obvious and such a turn-off...

Is this a proof that she doesn't lip sync or what?

The only performance on TV where she lip-syncs, I think.

I can hear her sing. The part before the 1st chorus is a bit on the edge of a lip sync but I think I can still hear her...Maybe I'm wrong tho, no mic feed is available

I can't handle people talking about her lyping at artRAVE. Honestly, you must not have been there. I was and was once again stunned by her vocal ability.

The pre-chorus is totally lip-syncing. During the chorus, her lips are not in sync with the track. "Some of us just like to read", the microphone is far away from her lips during the 'to read' part, yet the track sounds the same. The "wohoo" parts, the mic is faaaar away from her lips, yet the track sounds as if the mic is close to her lips. Do you get what I mean?

Not shaming her in any way tho. At the end of the day, it's just one performance.

Even if she lip-syncs more, I wouldn't mind it all, as I already stated in my comment.

That's because it's in a studio. The mic can pick up the sounds much more easily than when there is an audience.

The mic isn't projecting her voice, it's simply recording it and then they layer it with the video afterwards.

EDIT: because obviously the camera doesn't record her vocals.

Maybe, could be the case.

Her lips are moving in all the vids I watched:awkney:

Are you saying she's lipsyncing or that she is singing.

Cuz what the person you're talking to is saying that WHEN the backtrack gets loud she drops out and focuses on choreo, she doesn't ever pretend to sing.

The main thing here is that Gaga is almost always singing. If she's not, she's not even pretending to, she just isn't moving her mouth which still is not lipsyncing. And she'll sing with the track and you HEAR the difference.

Read my posts following that. We had a little confusion
