Benji 20,113
Anyone who truly believes that there should be a "Straight Pride" can f*ck off, and I mean it.
gagzus 24,691
my opinion is although not all straight people are ignorant and unaware of what pride is (my friends for example), those who're wanting hetro pride are the ones who don't understand the history of why we have it, think that just because they've been to pride and it's nowadays an excuse to get drunk and have sex with strangers and dress up they aren't on an intellectual level of understanding so i'm unbothered because... is it ever gonna happen just bc they're whining? I was pretty sure it was clear that all of us here are talking about homphobs.. How do you know they're homophobic? You're categorizing them to have a reason to bash them. As a straight male I'm aware the hashtag is ridiculous and I bet most heterosexuals realize it's a satire, but there's no harm with playing along. Y'all are taking this way too seriously, 90% of the hashtag consists of LGBTQ tweets, that's why it's still trending. Insecurity.

I don't need to know, I aimed what I wrote at specific people, homophobic people, it's not my problem that some don't understand and get offended immediately and then offending in return instead of taking few minutes to understand the thing behind what I wrote.. so this is insecurity imo... I mean come on, my parents are heteros, do you really think that I'm aiming against them? please a little bit of logical thinking... Not gonna apologize for what I said, homophobic people have a small brain.. So sploosh your juice all over me you Riverboy
JustaMonster 4,909
I think some people here need to tone it down with the amount of hatred and labels being thrown around. I understand that this might not have been appropriate but still... Hands up to the sky, I'm about to fly!

But nobody was talking about homophobes, you just mentioned them out of the blue, by that you made it sound as if any hetero who took part in that hashtag is a homophobe. Guest ARTPOPSlays
Why don't we just have a pride day where you come as your are. Straights included. Being proud of you you are in general
GypsyBabe 22,836
It's a bunch of twitter kids who have no idea of the violence, injustice, hate, and oppression that people in the LGBT community have endured for far too long. It's a statement hashtag to them as a way to feel "included." It's like the "white lives matter" hashtags, they exist to devalue a cause. As a straight person, this disgusts me. Maybe these people should actually watch some documentaries and do some research (because they are clearly ignorant and have no exposure) on the atrocities that have and are being committed against LGBT individuals around the world. ⚯͛

SlaeUrAnus 16,111
This is just as cringey as a day dedicated to white people I'm sorry, but I find this ignorant af. You're not homophobic for celebrating heterosexuality, but ignorant for undermining how far the LGBT community has become. In my messy era.
