I respect her as an artist and as musician. No you're right she doesn't need to own a ****ing company but I don't see how she's in any way deemed to be a major CEO that should be educating others on that subject. She's not a CEO she's a successful musician. I could name other successful musicians and other celebs that are CEOs if it would help. 

The point I was really trying to make was don't throw the label misogynistic around when you're using it wrong, if people disagree with her being a CEO it isn't based on her gender nor on her looks it's based on her skills as a business woman and as a boss. If people question her skills it's not based off of her gender or looks, it's based off of her skills. Simple as that

But she is not a CEO.

Oprah, Tyra Banks, Jessica Simpson, Fergie, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen are all female CEOs and they are all different. Halsey is not the chief of her "business", she isn't the one who gets the last word on what she does with her career, she is under a contract.

She IS the main poing of communication in the company (her brand). She doesn't OWN her brand (her label does). CEO =/= Owner of a company, he REPRESENTS the company, and she obviously represents her brand. And look:

you just contradicted yourself. In the wikipedia definition it says they're "the highest ranking executive", they make "major corporate decisions", manage "the overall operations and resources of a company", but then try and say she's the CEO because she "represents" her brand? A CEO isn't just a representative. Halsey's career is run primarily by her label and her team. They make the majority of the decisions for her career.

So, she said that she's a performer, but then said she's a CEO herself. Ok. That's fine.

But I don't really understand the context of the scene that she's describing. She said she was walking on the beach when the person came up to her. So there's a chance that seeing a rather young person with a teal wig would not make many people conclude that that individual is a CEO. Idk, the context is just vague. Halsey then assumes that that person was either judging her for her sex or even looks. So what was it then?

In all honestly, I wouldn't think she was a CEO at first glance either. However, I know that there are a TON of young CEOs out there. But I think that the general public tends to think of CEOs as business people who have that business looks, if that makes sense. We don't know the intention of the guy who talked to Halsey. 

But again, what is she a CEO of?
