She has ample experience, not a lot of political baggage like Clinton, is formidable while still being charismatic, and perhaps most importantly, if she were to run she would have about as much federal experience as Obama did when he won. Plus, she's also quite the progressive in many fields without being someone as alienating as a Bernie Sanders or Elizabeth Warren. They are both a bit "upper-class" in their rhetoric which makes them difficult for a lot of people to connect to. Trump, meanwhile, has the eloquence of a grade schooler and it has taken him very far. Harris's performance in the Russia testimonies was pretty grand for being a junior legislator. The fact that she got to be there alone is testament to her qualifications and even when they were speaking over her or using rules to quiet her, it was still about her. She held a steady, distinct presence. Russia meddling aside, Hillary doesn't really hold that distinct of a presence and the charisma and likability of the president is crucial. The president, for better or worse, is head of both the state and government so when people vote they consider who looks "presidential" and also the substance of what they propose. I don't expect Trump to be reelected, he's alienating his own base and continuing to drop in popularity (a 36% approval rating that continues to drop, especially this early is a very bad sign), though I could be wrong. I could see Warren, maybe Kamala Harris running but I don't think Warren could get very far, though I do think Kamala could have a decent fighting chance. I don't see Hillary re-running, last year's election severely impacted her physical and mental health and probably would do far more damage if she would run again. I expect Bernie to rerun or Biden to run. Bernie already has a strong platform and even a lot of Trump supporters that I know, would/would've vote(d) for Bernie. Biden saw an overall positive run as VP with a very good outlook from Democrats, and a decent outlook from Republicans so he could come in and gain his popularity if he plays his cards right. Maybe then people will have realized that we don't need a friend or someone we'd like to get drunk with. We need a level headed, experienced, and decisive person at the head of our country and I still believe 100% (along with the majority of voters) that Hillary would make an amazing president. Elizabeth has no dirt on her (that I know of) and she's been victimized by both the GOP and Trump. She could play a sort of underdog card and topple the Big Orange Menace. Then Trump will have to swear in Pocahontas - the woman he's insulted and belittled for years (by 2020) that still came around and handed him his own ass Cory...idk, that speech he gave at the DNC is still with me. It was so powerful And again, he doesn't have any "dirt" on him like Hillary and others do so there's nothing for a child like Trump to get his tiny hands on and blow out of proportion. I can say without a doubt that Bernie would lose He's alienated Democrats and the Green party at this point and the Right was never really with him in the first place.
