The more we ask Gaga to go full pop the more she strays away from it

pure pop is not necessarily dance/electronic, what you describe is trendy/not trendy and while Joanne is pure pop, it's not trendy...

I lived 28 years of music and went through many trends, pop has been changed a lot, but at the end, even with a slightly rock influence, it was still pop at the end.

I think the fans are panicking for not reason, Gaga will come back to the dance/electro in LG6.. Joanne is just a break and we can see it with the lack of promo and the number of singles.. TC just proved that she's thirsty for the dance/electro..

And please, C2C was just to use her pop legendary position to boost the jazz, she's great with singing jazz of course, but it's not something that she can continue her career with, it was and will always be a side project.. and the rock performances? are just performances, it's nice but she's smart enough not to make a rock or metal solo album, maybe just another side project with a band..

That's why I specified that the "pop" I was talking about was the electronic/dance pop that she was known for.

Joanne is still a "pop" album, I mentioned that, but it's not "pure pop". Yes, pop is a broad genre, but the influences of those country/folk/rock/etc. elements in some songs are just too much to be considered a "pure pop" album. I mean, you can't tell me that Sinner's Prayer is a "pop song with country influences", if anything it's a "country song with pop influences". Just because she's Lady Gaga and just because she's known for pop music doesn't mean that we can discredit a song for what it is.

I also wouldn't be too confident about LG6. I mean, we thought that LG5 would be a disco-pop or pop-rock album, and we got a country-folk album. "The Cure" didn't prove that she wanted to go back to the electronic/dance pop album. One song's not going to do that. She likely released that song in order to hype up Coachella, to get more radio play, and as a last gift to her fans while she was filming ASIB. "The Cure" doesn't prove anything necessary.

Finally in regards to C2C and her rock performances and stuff. Those things can only be side projects for so long. If she continually makes album with Tony Bennett (and without him) or if she continually has those kinds of performances and incorporates that into her music, it's not a "side project" anymore. "Side project" implies that it's something on the side, but Gaga has shown genuine interest in those things, and should, because she's great at both of them. However, if she continues to do those kinds of things, it won't be considered a "side project" as much as a regular thing she's doing.

I'm kind of flexible, I'm able to enjoy many genres of music so I've always had a good time stanning her. From pop to jazz to acting to broadway to metal, I liked them all. Even within pop, there were fans divided on albums, but I've always liked them all.

Nah, I don't believe this is true.

Gaga has always made pop with elements of other genres, albeit one jazz era, which was good for her career and health. Joanne was pretty damn pop - you guys just don't like country, so you hated the country elements.

Gaga's next era will be pop with influences of a genre she hasn't touched, per usual.

Yes, and I never considered her non-pop projects to be side projects, but a new direction for Gaga.  That direction is to be a multi-genre artist, also including acting.

I live outside the space time continuum.

Gaga doesn't do side projects, they are other aspects of herself as an artist and other valid branches of her career. Many in this fanbase have a hard time with the concept that Gaga legitimately has other interests outside of being the stereotypical pop star.  People seem to think that "pop star" is the pinnacle of achievement for Gaga, when it's not.  Pop star is at the base if the pyramid that she considers her career.  An important part, but still only a part.

I wonder if she realizes that the way she talks about tony is the same way that many people feel about her and thats why they want her to do pop music again. :(

But why would you want her to do something she doesn't feel like doing?
