calmar 22,385 Posted June 24, 2017 Share Posted June 24, 2017 Halsey is absolutely correct and I am positively appalled by LGBT people on this site denouncing her for calling out the trend of straight women using queer people's experiences as a 'spice' to their songs. It doesn't matter who did it - Spears, Lovato, Perry - it rubs me entirely the wrong way and likely has rubbed many LGBT people, esp. the ones at the songs' expense, the wrong way as well. Someone is not 'worthy' of being stripped of their career because they called out someone who has had one for doing something harmful.
