Not true! If I'm interested in topic X, and one party's core beliefs involve promoting topic X, then they care about at least one of my interests. You might be using a different definition of 'interests'.

You don't vote. They don't care what your interests are or are not.

If I'm interested in LGBT rights and the Democrats are also interested in LGBT rights then we share the same interests, or put another way, the Democrats care about one of my interests. :hmm:

Unsurprised by the result. If Dems continue these incessant attacks on Trump and do nothing else, they will get nowhere.

Democrats must STOP trying to get republicans to vote for them, IT AIN'T GONNA HAPPEN!!!!!  :smh: :neyde::neyde::neyde:

Republicans will NEVER vote democratic in large or even medium sized numbers...

There will NEVER be a blue Alabama or Kentucky, like there was a Red Wisconsin and Red Michigan this past election.

...And the reason why that is, democrats are fickle & republicans are ABSOLUTE!  No matter what (not even if they loathe Trump until their dying day), they will NEVER & I repeat, will NEVER vote democratic WHATSOEVER!!!

If we are going to win future elections, we must start focusing on Independents & recruiting new unregistered voters into the Democratic Party & get them to come out and vote in mass!

It is the only way we will ever possibly or even remotely win again...  That & having a message, that isn't just about hating Trump!  :madge:

True! Republicans fall in line and they SHOW UP TO VOTE! It's really not that complex.

Democrats have to show up to vote every.single.time in every.single.election. I'm sorry that you (referring to whiny Dems) aren't "excited" or "inspired", just ****ing show up to vote!

Retweets and Facebook shares don't mean squat if you don't vote.

Many of these younger liberals who seem excited online don't seem to be showing up at the polls.

I saw this last year with Sanders. So many people my age (early 20's) who were excited by Sanders didn't vote. What does it matter if you "support" a politician if you don't vote?

VOTE VOTE VOTE

Republicans will always fall in line and vote no matter how bad the candidate is. The time has come for liberals to accept Democrats are the ONLY chance of liberal policies even getting a chance and that can only be done if we all VOTE.

Lion Heart

Called it.

The "he doesn't live here" line worked well against him- he had no strong defense. It also didn't help that most of the money he received was from outside the state of Georgia. That was enough for Georgians in the 6th district to paint him as an "outsider".

Dems need a stronger message that simply doesn't boil down to "impeach DRUMPFF' or "resist". Impeachment is not going to happen. Move on already.

Batwings

Basically in total agreement with several other posts on here:

1. Democrats won't win elections simply by being anti-Trump. They're going to have to come up with a better strategy.

2. Republicans will always back their chosen candidate, no matter how crappy that candidate is. Democrats need to stop bickering amongst themselves and be more unified.

3. SHOW UP AND VOTE. Social media activism and marching in protest rallies are fine, but they are not a substitution for actually voting.

Oh wow, but according to the Democrats, women can't win elections because of sexism and all that.
