berlinforme 5,391 Posted June 21, 2017 Share Posted June 21, 2017 LOL @ all the delusion in this thread. 1) Greece has been bankrupt many times and it was inevitable that at some point there had to be drastic reforms. 2) I, as a German by the way, think that there is too much pressure on Greece by the EU, as the economy can't recover (or just being built first) under these circumstances. 3) I feel very bad for the Greek society as they haven't been intentionally mismanaging the economy/finances over decades and yet they have to suffer the most now. 4) Poor people have to pay the price instead of the oligarchs which are rather unbothered to date. Obviously not right. 5) Germany is not the blame for the Greek crisis and even though I don't necessarily agree with the stance of German politicians regarding the handling of Greece' situation, I think it's natural that as the biggest financial backer they also want to make sure Greece pays their bills. You can't blame Germany and you can't blame Greece, but saying all governments are equally corrupt is bullsh*t. There are obviously more competent politicians in a country than in others. Take Switzerland for example. It's practically impossible to cheat the system here and not every idiot becomes a politician (yes I'm looking at you USA). I'm not saying it's perfect tho.
