I mean, how could it have been that much better given the material? The shots were what they shot, I don't think putting them in a different order would have somehow turned it into a masterpiece.

You don't think it's possible there were other scenes and footage that wasn't used? :S.... lol

Well, that makes two of us :selena:

Don't you think maybe they are the same thing? Love and attention?

this constant need of some of this fanbase to belittle Gaga is annoying.

I moved on from the MR music video 10 minutes after it was released. Can we all?:trollga:

I doubt it would have been anything great. It was a quick video shoot because the label crowned Million Reasons as a single very quickly, and honestly, a straightforward ballad like Million Reasons doesn't lend itself to anything too mind blowing visually in the first place.

Wasn't MR directed by Ruth Hogben and Andrea Gelardin?

No. It's obviously not Ruth and Andrea's aesthetic ....

The shots are really terrible though. A good director has (i) vision (ii) is able to extract the best performance out of his cast

The video was just shockingly bad, from it's cinematography, colour grading, editing... An experienced director wouldn't let all these things slide.

Receipts? I need sources :oprah:

IMVD says it was directed by them. V Magazine says the same. Why is everyone saying this man is the director?

I just realised I've not watched the video since it was released, that's how bad it is. I don't know what Gaga and her team were thinking but it's becoming a common theme every era for there to be wasted opportunities or poor decision making.

You really need to find a new response.

I doubt that MV could of been much better tbh. The shots themselves were bad so the change of order of the scenes would not have done too much of a difference.
