Yeah, I was exagerating when I said youtube became a thing in 2016. But you can't deny that while youtube was becoming a huge company and a phenomenon all through europe and northern america in like 2008, latin america was mostly clueless on what youtube was. Say what you will, but do you have any idea of how many scientific researchers from southern america have made any breakthrough or how many new inventions and huge companies come from there? I can't name any, but maybe I'm ignorant. If you can't name any either, then don't tell me countries like Brazil are quickly evolving countries when they're only growing a bit economically (which is actually stagnating) and if socially they have some of the biggest assimetries in the world. Again, I did not intend to mock anyone, although I think it's important to reflect on this matter. Instead of taking over a first world invention and clearly dominating it with your numeric power, why not focusing your time and energies into developing higher education in your society and making your own contributions/inventions to the benefit of the whole world instead of just consumpting what the USA feeds you? Because, like it or not, that's what happens.

Well personally I got Internet in 2010 and really start to use it in 2011 and get into youtube in end of 2013 and I live in France  So maybe it's just me but I feel like I came at the same time as every users (usa,Europe,Asia..).

And the fact that Brasil or any America Latina countries got no famous compagny is cause they are in agricultural, industrial, and Natural resources productions mostly, so not big compagny for the moment maybe, but a lot of vegetable, fruit, and gaz that you use or eat are from there so No it's not overexposed à la Apple or à la Mcdo who got franchise everywere but for sure they grown faster than you can say Ferrari , and also Brasil are the 6th biggest economic country in the world, China 2nd(soon 1st) and India 4th all "countries in evolutions",

The things is some of you guys think that your are the #1 everywere, forever and that nobody can't beat you so you don't interested yourself to the others culture I don't think your mad but some of you seemed really closed to it, if you look behind your window you will see so much more than your "American pride" but your president wanted to build a wall so I hope it's not the majority of usa citizens who agree with that but it reveal a lot about the fragility and the extremism decision of the actual country (thank god it's not happen and citizens don't let him do what he want)

Honey... guess you were the one who was too quick jumping to conclusions now... I'm portuguese, one of the most economically dead countries in Europe and whose cultural identity is becoming less and less relevant. Our youth is literally a reductive () USA copy. I know what you guys struggle with, but from a very different perspective, because my country actually divided the world in two halves and shared it with Spain, in the 15th century, so we used to be one of the countries to look out for. That lead us to today, where we're still a developed country that shares many similarities with the rest of European societies and I'd say is more educated (let's not compare crime rates) and with better life quality in general than in Latin America, but we're not growing anymore. That's not the case in southern america, you're still waiting on your imperial fase to happen () and you have a lot to go through to get there. As you said, China might have the 2nd largest economy right no, but do you think their society is even close to be the 2nd best one? I'd refuse to live there, tbh.
