Soon we can add all 18 decillion colors on every lighting level to the flag. And then we will have an acoustic "flag" for the blind people, represented by every sound there is.

The point of the rainbow already is to include everyone, but there are still special snowflakes who are MORE diverse than others to not feel included, or what? Nobody says something about the black/brown/beige/transparent/silver not beeing included, so now they exclude themselves to get attention...

Oh haroon, this is so accurate. :laughga:

I think the beauty of the original flag is that there are no skin colors (or colors that represents skin colors), and those rainbow colors are already a symbol of diversity and inclusiveness on their own

There's yellow though. :poot:

Spoiler

I'M SORRY, DONT COME FOR ME. :sharon:

I honestly think that there will ALWAYS be this problem, it's just the same thing over and over again. First we had the name LGBT then LGBTQ then LGBTQ+ then black and brown stripes after that we'll have "what a bout the disabled people?" "what about people who love refrigerators?" etc.

There will ALWAYS be someone b*tching about something. :saladga:

Heck, why don't we just add straights too and just name the group "Human Beings"?

The flag or title doesn't need changing, we the society do. How? Stop obsessing over trivial things, appreciate the inclusiveness and kindness around you rather than the colors of a flag. That's what really matters.

I honestly don't think that the community itself is non-inclusive towards black people or people of color, if they are then fix THAT instead, not the flag.

I'm very late to this discussion but here's my two cents :)

Everybody's gotta love each other

Stop throwin stones at ya sisters and ya brothers

Man it wasn't that long ago

We were all living in the jungle

So why do we gotta

Put each other down when there's more than enough love to g-g-go around

giphy.gif

why do we gotta tell each other how to live

the only prisons that exist are ones we put each other in

Ok so what about the white stripe as well that's stupid. Let's keep race out of it and if some people of color think rainbow flag underrepresents them then oh well maybe they need some help because they clearly see things that aren't there.

It's like the 4th reich has invaded the LGBTQ flag. :laughga:

Actually why don't they remove red as well since most of the world are communism-phobics after the cold war propaganda. :madge:

We should put pink as well for femme gays

Pink was actually in the first version of the pride flag. :D

I am German and I really don't seem to understand what is going on in the LGBTQ+ community in the USA!

Does the US-American LGBTQ+ community really not welcome POC or in particular black people?

Is there really a bigger problem within the US-American LGBTQ+ community regarding racism/white supremacists?

I always thought and hoped, especially the LGBTQ+ community would be the most liberal, open-minded and welcoming group of US-citizens?

I am really confused...

:noparty:

YES to almost everything you said, unfortunately....  :smh:

I mean in general people of color are accepted into the LGBT community, but when you scratch the surface + dig a little bit deeper.  You will find out that that is not the case for everybody, and that there is a lot of explicit & implicit bias/discrimination to POC.  In particular Blacks & Asians...  :neyde: :smh:
