People were talking about Joanne a bit more than they are about Witness and there was more positive anticipation with Joanne. NOT SAYING WITNESS IS BAD. Gaga was more well liked than she had been in quite a while before the release of Joanne? Katy during this era? Worse than the hate Gaga got in ARTPOP. Would be awesome. A flop single that came before Joanne, yet the album was number 1 for two weeks (two weeks right?) straight and didn't have a large drop like BTW and ARTPOP. I always felt that Katy was a GP artist with a small fanbase compared to Gaga's, and this era it seems that she lost a lot of the GP. So right now I think she will struggle to sell as many albums as Joanne, but maybe she'll prove me wrong.
