Slayer 9,227
To be honest, I don't see a comparison. Miley's aesthetic seems much more hippie/flower power than country. It also has this happy, light energy to it, whereas the 'Joanne' era was full of rage, sadness and mourning. Gaga may have had an influence on Miley's direction, but Miley has made it her own. I actually love Miley's direction with Malibu. It's so nice to hear a song that is genuinely just HAPPY and full of love. I love judas SO MUCH but I canʹt look like a copycat of JLO!!!! Songs like Dancing In Circles, A-Yo, John Wayne, and Hey Girl are very uplifting and happy. Also the country vibe is only present on 3 songs. Most of it is more folksy/rock than country. Finally, Miley is making her new music with her own direction. However I still see the potential inspiration.

Miel 15,009
I think, in a very general and extraneous way, you could say Gaga helped stimulate a sort of skew into the direction of more "authentic pop". 3 points in and ready for more
Robinladen 1,527
Mileys obsession with the charts on Twitter gives me more ARTPOP teas than Joanne.

Mr S 8,672
It would suck if she has more success than Gaga doing it though.
Jorge Gonzalez Varela 368
YES, Billboard conirmed it and Miley is always copying Gaga. Here's to our brand new start, I won't be waiting for nothing. I'll mend the broken parts. Pick up the pieces,

Twitter 14
YES! You can tell Malibu was inspired by Million Reasons.... However it was the best move for both of them to tone it down.
