Is Miley's New era inspired by Joanne?

Everything Miley Cyrus is doing right now seems very much inspired by Joanne. You can say that in her past Miley also sung country music, but is not just the music that screams Joanne. Her fashion, her music videos, and performances are also aesthetically very similar to Gaga's Joanne era. Even the music itself is much more folksy/pop/raw just like Joanne was. Also we can't ignore the fact that Joanne was the only successful album in recent times that looked and sounded the way it did. What do you think?

Can't say that for sure but Gaga definitely inspired Miley to tone things down and let the music speak for itself. Plus she's in such a good place in her life rn this musical direction only makes sense tbh

Yes, even artists like Harry Styles are making music that is much more inspired, organic, and stripped back a bit.

I think she inspired her to make a more stripped back record, but that's it.

Maybe there's some influence BUT you can't just wave away Miley's past and her upbringing around country. If Gaga hadn't come out with Joanna, Miley would have probably ended up the way she is now anyway, back to her roots and all that.

I understand that Gaga really brought that back a bit to the mainstream industry but it's not like she invented making organic music and being a real talented artist  I mean, I think there are other artists out there, like Miley, that really envision themselves as real artists and want to make organic and meaningful music  At the end of the day it's what being an artist is all about.

I think she's born in country music with her dad and Dolly Parton she always got this vibes but for sure Gaga is one of her influence She's a big fan

Songs like Malibu already sound a lot like songs on Joanne aesthetically (Diamond Heart, Joanne, etc.)

I am not brushing up her past. But even her recent music is much more Joanne sounding, then old Miley sounding. And like I said, is not just her music.
