I hope he just politely refused or said anything good besides from refusing even if it's fake, but I don't really know about his personality anyway. I mean if someone came up to me on the street and asked for a hug, I would immediately say no and not even be nice about it. PDA makes me feel uncomfortable and others should respect that.
